Background[edit]

Her mother and grandmother are the heart of a Marxist/woman's rights group. They actually see the suffragette movement as overly compromising, believing that there will have to eventually be revolution of force. Now this alone meant that her mother belived that the courts would side with pretty much anyone against her, so when the school was pushy she made a difficult decision but allowed her daughter to go. Stressing that she needs to blend in, but also keep track of who is important and who might be able to support the Movement.

Still she does also belive in the value of education and wants her daughter to try and learn as much as she can. Which frankly interests Jael way more then trying to convince her class mates of anything.

She's awkward and bookish..neither the polite lady or the confidant feminist, she doesn't really under other people, and her mother's constant abstract theories don't really help. Shes short and has sandy brown hair and startles easily.
