Defloration

Dr. Eugene Stockman

Baron of Insects

Entomologist

First Impression Text

This would be a short description of what your character looks like, the standard run down of what people could tell about you the first time they met.

Attributes[edit]

Aspect 3[edit]

Inhuman 5/5 Aspect Miracle Points

Eugene's body has altered completely from the mortal shell he had before. Beyond the physical replacement of his internal organs with crawling bugs, Eugene is entirely composed of the soul-stuff called ether or astral energy. This body transcends all human skills, responding to his mental commands with a speed and precision that blows away mortal limitations. He can also change this magical monster body into any insectile form he can imagine, including a hoard of insects.

I have 3 Aspect. That means I perform Level 3 and under Miracles for 0 MP. I perform Level 4 Miracles for 1 MP, I perform Level 5 Miracles for 2 MP, I perform level 6 or 7 Miracles for 4 Miracle Points and I can perform level 8 through Level 9 Miracles as a Word of Command which costs 8 MP.

Domain 1[edit]

Baronet 5/5 Domain Miracle Points

Eugene has studied the insect from his youth. He understands they are the lowest on the food chain, but they are the most resilient, the recyclers of dead matter, the very base of the whole ecological system. They are also the pest, the infestation, the symbol of decay and filth. Eugene's scientific understanding of the arthropod extends his power over the arachnid, centipede and crustacean.

I have 1 Domain. That means I perform Level 1 and under Miracles for 0 MP. I perform Level 2 Miracles for 1 MP, I perform Level 3 Miracles for 2 MP, I perform level 4 or 5 Miracles for 4 Miracle Points and I can perform level 6 through Level 9 Miracles as a Word of Command which costs 8 MP.

Realm 1[edit]

Radiant 5/5 Realm Miracle Points

Powers with this level of Realm are called 'Radiant' because they do not represent the matter of their Keep, only the ephemeral illusion of it. Eugene can summon Ghost Miracles of Realm easily, but everything else is effort.

I have 1 Realm.

Spirit 1[edit]

Hearthfire 5/5 Spirit Miracle Points

Like the rest of his Familia, Eugene's spirit is comfortably protected without being intimidatingly powerful.

I have 1 Spirit. That means I can have 2 anchors. My Auctoritas raises the level of all Miracles cast against me by 1 Miracle Levels. I only have to perform the Rite of Holy Fire every two weeks. With the Rite of the Last Trump I can convert 4 MP of any type into 1 MP of any other.

Gifts[edit]

Durant[edit]

Despite being only a think layer of flesh stretched over a roaring pile of creepy crawlies, the astral energy of Eugene's divine body is resilient enough to withstand almost anything. 1 CP

Elemental[edit]

Eugene can abandon his skin to become a creature composed of nothing but Insect. This allows him to become any real form of insect, including extinct giant ones, crustaceans, arachnids and centipedes. He can become a hoard of insects with the mass of his physical body, and can vomit up as many crawling bugs as he could reasonably vomit depending on how full his "stomach" should be. 2 CP

Sovereign's Gift[edit]

This power is called Mastery over one's domain, and though Eugene may not have fully absorbed the mantle of godhood over his Estate, he is indeed the master of all insects. For one MP he can command the physical motions of an entire hoard of crawling things, directing them to attack or form unnatural shapes or consume whole buildings. 3 CP

Kafka's Metamorphosis[edit]

A strange power, this allows Stockman to slide a living creature along the scale where 0 is completely their own species, and 100 is some insect. Usually he uses this to produce somewhere between those percentages, a horrible mix of bug and man, but also any other animal he can get a hold of. This costs 1 MP to activate, and is purchased as a Lesser Change of Animal Characteristics. 1 CP

Handicaps/Limits[edit]

Disabled: Hollow Man[edit]

Eugene has no bones, internal organs, or anything else to make him human beyond his skin. He can't do anything that requires having any such body parts. He can still Anchor people by making them swallow a bug from his hoard. This gives 1 MP a story.

Manifestation: Insecticide[edit]

Designed to harm his Estate, insecticides ward off the Baron of Insects. Spray may simply repel him or bar his entrance, and this gives him 1 MP when it inconveniences him. It may also harm him if he suffers a large enough dose, and this also gives him 1 MP when that becomes a problem.

Revelatory Trait[edit]

Bugs are always crawling in and out of Eugene's orifices. This gives 1 MP when it reveals Eugene as a supernatural being and this becomes inconvenient for him.

Summonable[edit]

Like every member of his Familia, the Baron of Bugs can be summoned and asked to serve, but not forced. This gives 1 MP when it becomes inconvenient.

Anchors[edit]

Anchor Name[edit]

Describe who they are, why you love or hate them, and what you use them for, perhaps how their life has changed since becoming an Anchor.

History[edit]

As a child he was routinely picked on and harassed by the neighborhood kids for his small frame. They would beat him, rub his face in mud and make him eat whatever they could find, bugs were the most abundant. Because he was always picked on for being small he felt the only way to cope was by also picking on those smaller than himself. Stomping on ant hills, setting fire to bee hives, catching flies and ripping one wing off and generally torturing any bugs he could find.

Throughout his adolescent years and much of his early life there was one bully that always went that extra step to make Eugene's life miserable. Wallace McCay. He was a popular jock born into wealth who was the bane of Eugene's existence. While Eugene had to fight for every scrap of recognition he could earn Wally had everything handed to him on a silver platter, and he never let Eugene forget it.

Eugene's mild obsession with insects eventually turned into a sort of fascination as he got older. He noticed that no matter how much he battered the insects they always bounced back. They always found a way to overcome obstacles in their way. Eugene admired their tenacity and adaptability and soon found an interest in studying his diminutive subjects.

In college Eugene met the girl of his dreams. They fell madly in love and married just after finishing college. Shortly after the marriage Eugene found a job as a science teacher at the local high school after his wife announced she was pregnant. After giving birth to his new born daughter, Dawn, she divorced him, won soul custody of their child and was awarded half of Eugene's belongings. Save every other weekend, Eugene was not allowed to see Dawn.

Personality[edit]

As a human, Eugene was a timid, unsure, push-over of a man who would rather admit he was wrong than argue his point (even though he knew he was right). He was always a loner, finding a companionship with his bugs that few found healthy. After his wife left and took their daughter with her, what little confidence Eugene had left was shot. He was a hollow, defeated man. With his ennoblement came a tremendous surge of self-awareness. He looked back at his former life and hated what he saw. Like so many insects, he was getting stepped on by those around him. Never will he take orders or be pushed around again, he has devoted his days to doing what he will, whatever it may be.

Design[edit]

A single Butterfly Weed representing freedom stands for Eugene's new life. Atop the blossom is a real butterfly, a beautiful monarch representing the Estate of Insects. These symbols lay atop a dark blue crescent moon, the symbol of The Wild.
