Beamline


A research chemist with a multinational conglomerate. For the most part he enjoyed his work, but did feel that the corporation was rather impersonal and unappreciative of his talents. Of course, he always had to fight for every scrap of respect he had ever gotten. He had grown up the middle child between two geniuses, and was always the "other" one. He grew up neglected and angry. To compensate, he pursued a doctorate in chemistry, and got it. It was time to start making money.

His biggest project was the development of a new super adhesive. Unfortunately, his research funds were cut; the money went to more lucrative projects want by the government. He proceeded ahead with his research, cutting corners where he had to, doing his best to keep his work afloat.

Then, there was the accident.

Worst case scenario? His face was hideously scarred. The corporation fired him, cutting off his medical insurance when he needed it most. But there was a silver lining to this dark cloud. The super adhesive was a success.

Why is he a villain? The money? He needed that. Bitterness? He was very bitter. Or was it revenge?

Once out of the hospital, he managed to manufacture a small amount of resin A and resin B, which combined to make his super adhesive. He bluffed his way into the corporations headquarters, demanding his old laboratory notes that he said that they had taken, he had them falling over themselves looking for the non-existent notes, trying to avoid the threatened lawsuits that he was about to file. In the confusion he stole the boot jets, some armor, and a high tech helmet. Hey, payback time! And it had only just begun!

The world was a cruel place, and to survive, you had to be crueler. To thrive, you had to be the ultimate in cruel, the ultimate in ruthlessness, and not allow emotions such as compassion, love, and mercy weigh you down. He would become the Ultimate. He and his teammates, were destined to defeat their enemies, to grasp the world in their hands, and crush it like a rotten orange.

Binder has no social skills at all, his only friends are those on the Ultimates. He believes that he is one of the smartest men on the planet, due to his successes. This simply is not the case. He believes that the world is out to get him, he is just doing a preemptive strike.

Binder is a normal, but highly trained, person. His equipment is what gets him into the super villain game. He is the leader of the Ultimates both in combat and out of it. He is a team player in all respects. He likes to hit quick foes with his glue gun and allow his teammates to blast away as he stands nearby strutting and explaining how the hero never stood a chance.

Binder is 29 years old, 6'2, 200 lbs and in excellent physical condition. His costume consists of a high tech translucent plastic armor covering most of his body and costume, an advanced helmet, a gold gun with attached backpack and boot jets.
