Appearance Elysia has long ocean blue hair, which is just a bit darker than the colour of her skin. She golden eyes, and a sweet smile. She is slim, slightly muscular, and athletic since she trains as a trapeze artist when she’s not looking after the animals.

Background. Elysia knew she was different from the first moment she opened her eyes, found in a dumpster just hours old by tramps, who rather than taking her to the nearest hospital, sold the little blue baby to the circus which had recently come into town. The bearded woman took pity on the tiny mutant, and raised her as her own. She named her Elysia after her grandmother, who was a trapeze artist, and it soon became little Elysia’s dream to be just like her. But they had enough trapeze artists, what they needed was animal tamers, so she got put to work there. One day she found a kid who had snuck in trying to feed a lion a lollipop through the bars, she knew that the unfamiliar scent and the child insistence would cause the creature to attack, without realising what was happening she transformed into a lioness and let forth a roar, the child so terrified by her appearance he ran screaming just as the other lion struck the bars, missing the child. She told Sandy (her adoptive mother) what happened, and was told not to tell another soul, if the owners found out they’d put her in the freak show, she couldn’t bear to have them stare at Elysia the way they stared at her, she’d given up some of her wages to the owners to keep her away from the freak show, but she knew the potential profits of a changeling outweighed her minimal income. Elysia told no one, but the child she saved was not so secretive, word got back to the owners, and she was told she would be on with the freaks the next day. But that night she received a visitor with an offer of a better life.
