Appearance: A grizzled old War veteran in his last days. Big Daddy was, and remains to be, one of the most iconic characters in the U.S.A military and he is an unspoken legend among many up and coming young solders.

Powers: As far as anyone was aware, Big Daddy was simply an espionage and tactical military genius who mastered the art of Close Quarters Fighting. Despite this there have been some allegations among certain groups (including the Freedom League) that Big Daddy had something supernatural about him.

Personality: Few knew Big Daddy personally and those few are most likely dead by now. Still there are some who recall him in his typically calm manner. Never one to panic or respond with anger. Big Daddy was a pinnacle solder. A man who feared neither death, torture or the damnation of his soul.

History: Big Daddy was born in the United States under a legal name that remains to this day classified by the united states government. From his first years in life Big Daddy was enrolled in military schools and taught how to use a gun. Fighting came naturally to the man and he was considered one of the finest men in his class.

Big Daddy's life changed when, at the end of world war II as a rookie solder, he wound up being kidnapped by Japanese solders and tortured under their command for two weeks. Though the torture he handled like a true solder it was the bomb that had the greatest impact on Big Daddy. He received radiation poisoning in his body that made the man infertile. While nothing life threatening this would wind up putting him under the care of his later mentor, The Chief.

Big Daddy trained under the Chief for years after World War II. But his life would change once again in the Shadow of Russia. While many supers were out fighting the "communist threat" in many parts of the world. A secret subterfuge world where the Government had no need for supers was being attended to. During this time the Chief, who was even considered one of the Allies of Freedom, was secretly plotted against by the CIA. They saw the expert fighter and genius of the Chief as being a threat and one they had to stamp out. When she was given her orders to defect and to be killed in the name of her country. She regrettably accepted.

Big Daddy was forced to kill the Chief in an incident classified as operation Basilisk. One of Big Daddy's least known exploits. He had managed to prevent the construction of a super weapon being created thanks in part to Doctor Sin and a rogue Russian general. After the incident the Chief was dead and with it was Big Daddy's more optimistic views of life and liberty.

Bid Daddy is infamous for being one of the founding members of AEGIS and also created the infamous trope that all Aegis leaders have to have an eye patch (though it's speculated as to whether this is simply an emulation of Big Daddy or simply a pattern in AEGIS leaders). Big Daddy founded AEGIS under the terms that he understood the threats that Supers Posed to the world. But also under the small distrust he had of them. After all, many of the Chief's colleagues he wound up fighting were super in some way. And no doubt the Russians were also creating various supers for their benefit.

Big Daddy died on December 25th, 1974. The circumstances behind it are classified federal documents but the man was given a proper military funeral and was seen off by all the solders who he helped influence the modern American army after.

Motivation: His country, his duty and his meaning as a solder were in nothing but battle.
