A Black Zone world as far from Chaos as he felt comfortable going. Technologically not too advanced beyond trains and steam ships with some electronics up to the radio stage. Early air travel. Call it a mixture of 1890 to 1930. A gun age and a jazz age. Sailing ships and steam ships.

It is largely archipelagos with few continental land masses. The people are mostly peaceful and involved in a wide ranger of sea based trades. This gives Vek something to do, such as fishing, longshoreman work, and socializing with working people unlikely to have much against him.

Physically a mixture of benign humanoid races from the Chaos end of shadow. In this place he owns a small building built into the front of a cave. Inside are his meager possessions, mostly books and maps. Nothing he would miss if he never returned.

In Bajas is a warf side dive called the Tavern, for lack of a better name. Chasa and Vek own it. It serves the dock works and a mixture of blue collar clientele. Music, stage magic, simple fare and plentiful drinks.

  • Character Diary. 1 to 2 pages per game session. 10 pips. This will be first person or in the form of a conversation with someone appropriate..
  • Campaign Log. Notes throughout game sessions. 10 pips. This will be a general condensation of the game out of chat/thread form to something more readable.
  • Trumps Draw a picture each game session. 10 pips. Several stored but will vary them as appropriate.
  • Poetry 5 pips. Spell imprint Quotes. This will be a traveling habit of his. Short poems and Haiku left engraved in stone, wood and steel as he passes. The spell will be a simple one.


  • Amber Devotee 6 pips. I plan to run Vek as an Amber Cultist. Specifically for Bleys as ill show in an upcoming story. However Bleys might not reciprocate. Benedict might have family notions toward Lintra’s brood.
  • Chaos Devotee 4 pips. Someone who took pity on the experimental animal from the Hendrake dungeons. Made him presentable enough to mix in general company, protected him to some degree, and eventually taught him the powers he holds, including helping him get access to the Logrus. Have to be a Lord of some kind. I've always had a fondness for Despil Sawall. If Despil discovered Vek's heritage he might have taken pity on him.
  • Ally in Amber 1 pip. Anyone from the entourage that came to the courts at the end of the Patternfall War.
  • Court Friend 2 pips. Ideally Bleys, who I intend to have Vek be a cultist for.

  • He is obsessed with music, especially the flute and the piano/organ. Jazz, Ragtime, and versions of Spike Jones. Emulates Bill Evens' style and look.
  • He enjoys stage magic, coin handling, prestidigitation, card tricks, and misdirects.
  • He spends most of his time in a tavern he partly owns. Live music and cold beer. He paints and sketches, and dreams of trump making.
