Background[edit]

Humble Beginnings[edit]

The mortally wounded Arthur Pendragon sleeps still within Avalon's halls. But after all this time in the Realm of the Fae it has wrought many changes upon his body and soul. Artorius Rex stirs fitfully in his sleep and his dreams take form and flight.

Follies of Youth[edit]

Awakening full grown in a field is disconcerting. Awakening with only the vaguest memories of who you are or were even more so. Nonetheless a man must find his way in the world and so the young Arthur has done so. Without memory, in the beginning at least, but driven onwards by movements of his soul more fundamental than any memory.

First Awakenings[edit]

Stabbed, trampled, shot and chopped into pieces. None of these is pleasant. And yet Arthur does not die. Oh, he feels all the pain, experiences all the trauma, the fear, the anger and frustration.But that was Agincourt and time has passed since then. Then the lights dim and Arthur dreams once more and awakes on Glastonbury Tor.

Mysterious Origins[edit]

For 400 years Arthur has fought in the armies of England and then Great Britain. With the advent of the new century he feels something has changed in the New Britain. More importantly his own nature has changed too. No longer just a brilliant tactician and warrior, the spirit has begun to move more strongly in him and his original source now manifests itself through him. These new manifestations have led Arthur to join the Kerberos Club, switching from an open role in the military to fighting in the secret war that is now beginning.

While this power is active any ally of Arthur's(or Arthur himself) who is also on Crown business may add its dice to their actions. This takes the form of a glowing, swirling aura that surrounds Arthur then radiates out to encompass his allies.

The sword of legend accompanies Arthur everywhere. It can be lost but should Arthur subsequently die it too is reborn on the Tor, the previous version fading from existence.

By focussing himself Arthur can bridge the gap between himself and the sleeping King. This allows him to use the King's ability to alter the substance and meaning of his avatar.
