Appearance': Captain Awesome! is a Hollywood actor with slightly fading good looks in his mid to late thirties. He takes especial good care to make sure that no one notices that he's not quite as Hollywood gorgeous as he used to be and his suit is made of the absolute finest government made material with the best artists having come up with the style.

Powers: Captain Awesome! is nearly invulnerable with super strength, the ability to fly, and the power to use his AWESOME VISIONtm that he describes as being able to CUT GUNS IN HALF WITH HIS MIND. In truth, Captain Awesome! is actually just extremely powerful telekinetic but he has lousy control over anything more than five feet away from him.

Weaknesses: Being just a telekinetic, Captain Awesome! has no defense against Fire or Electricity. To guard against this, the government has issued him a pretty effective 'Super Suit' that compensates for most of this. Unfortunately, it's not NEARLY as invulnerable as he is and it doesn't defend at all against psychic attacks.

There's also the slight issue that Captain Awesome! sucks at his job.

History: Captain Awesome! (the exclamation mark is part of the Trade Mark to some jerk-off getting Captain Awesome! itself, first before getting killed) is actually Marvin Stone (call him MARK Stone). A remarkably good looking but dense young surfer dude from Freedom Beach who took advantage of the warm summer winds to become extremely good at working on his tan. Freedomwood soon discovered Marvin Stone and proceeded to get his name legally changed before turning to become stars of such high budget productions as the popular television show Gilgamesh: The Mythic Travels and his movie debut in Crom: The Conqueror.

What no one suspected was that the future Captain Awesome! had in fact gained super powers long ago! Specifically, Mark had been blasted into a vortex of Terminus energy during the invasion while promoting a con. The result, strangely, didn't kill him but proceeded to imbue him with strange powers above and beyond those of ordinary men. When this occurred, Mark realized that he was destined for more. He was able to increase his paycheck twice over by being able to do his own stunts!

Mark's career as a superhero began when the Freedom League withdrew from their A.E.G.I.S. charter (several months before their adopting of a United Nations based one) and his agent politely revealed to the government that he was a super human. A.E.G.I.S. did some tests upon Mark and discovered he was in the 99 percentile of super powers. FABULOUS.

Mark's initial attempts to debut as the Second Centurion resulted in Captain Thunder promptly delivering him a royal beat down. Thus, the government instead decided to make him into a new super hero for the defense of the United States in Capatin Awesome! (the name was his suggestion that he shared with the media). Since then, the results of his heroic career have been decidedly mixed.

His attempts to apprehend the infamous Hell Rider, for example ended up in the second biggest beat down of his entire life. He accidentally destroyed one of the jets of Air Force One when the plane ran into some turbulence (new rule: no capes). Likewise, he's currently under a lawsuit for hospitalizing a set of bank robbers for six months (he swears that smashing them through walls always worked on tv).

But he WILL become a super hero! It's in his contract!

Personality: Being a super hero is AWESOME. Don't ever let anyone tell you any different. It's like being a celebrity except foreign networks want to interview you! Plus, you can just fly away when they bug you. Not to mention the chicks, Holy CRAP have you seen the body on that Lady Liberty? Damn. We're not talking the sixteen year old twigs you get set up with in Hollywood. You don't mind helping people, really.

It's just, you know, there's so much more to being a hero. Like action figures.
