Description[edit]

Appearance:[edit]

A going-on-elderly, tall, lean Brazilian human male.

Personality:[edit]

Captain Silva worked and commanded starships over the course of a nearly 3-decade career in Starfleet. Several years ago, he was severely wounded in action by a Klingon disruptor while commanding the cruiser Reliant. In addition to the expected burns, the disruptor blast caused significant damage to Silva's nervous system. It took several years and many medical procedures for him to recover from his wounds, and he still suffers from the nerve damage.

During his recovery, he taught command classes at the Academy. Having just recently been medically cleared to return to starship duty, he has taken command of the Endeavor from the departing Captain Sozenn.

Captain Silva has a reputation in the fleet as a devil-may-care risktaker. While certainly an effective captain, he's been known to accept more danger in completing his missions than other captains might.
