History[edit]

Anderson “Pastor Mac” Macauley started his storefront evangelical church five years back as a way to turn a quick buck (he needed some cash after a … speculative real estate deal out west with which he was involved went belly-up). Somewhere along the way, he started to really believe the words he was saying. Now he’s trying to figure out how a devout former grifter gets along in Miami.

Where Did You Come From?: Anderson watched his father work himself like a dog in the coal mines of West Virginia. It didn’t take long before Anderson came to the opinion that this was a sucker’s game, and that there had to be an easier way to make a living. Now Anderson GETS BY ON HIS SMILE.

What Shaped You?: A decade spent drifting from semi-successful scam to semi-successful scam taught Anderson that getting people to do what you want doesn’t really require being a great liar or having an elaborate setup, YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW WHAT BUTTONS TO PUSH.

What Was Your First Adventure?: When the oldest son of a family of faithful parishioners at his Community Fellowship Redemption Church disappears, Pastor Mac sets out to find him. But what will he do when he discovers that the young man is intended to be the newest Renfield in the collection of an infamous Black Court vampire?

Adventure Title: Amazing Grace (Pastor Mac’s adventure name theme will be traditional gospel songs.)

Aspect: “SHEPHERD THE FLOCK OF GOD AMONG YOU”

Guest Starring[edit]

Pastor Mac's involvement in Lucky Spook (Mara Warren's First Adventure), there was a bit of a case of mistaken identity, where Mara's investigation lead her to the Community Fellowship Redemption Church and, learning about Mac's shady background, came to believe that he was somehow involved in assembling/unleashing the ghost army. The mistake was resolved when the ghosts attacked the church, and Mara and Mac had to work together to protect the parishioners. Mac's Aspect: CAN'T TALK YOUR WAY OUT OF EVERYTHING

Guest Starring Redux[edit]

The man who called himself Raoul - Mac was pretty sure that wasn't his real name - spent a couple weeks straight hanging around the Mountbatten. According to Frankie, every night, without fail, he'd be there from sundown until close. 'Raoul' didn't talk much, but he acted like he was hiding from someone, or maybe something. Mac had just made up his mind to talk the truth out of him when Raoul stopped coming by the club.

Mac recognized the picture in the paper a few days later; turns out his real name was Alejandro, and he'd been found dead of a heroin overdose in some uptown nightclub called Push. Well, Mac had seen plenty of heroin addicts in his time on the seedier side of things, and this young man wasn't one.

He went up to Push the next night to see what he could find out - no clerical collar, of course, just a "successful businessman" suit he kept around from his old days running scams on greedy executives. Who met him at the door of the club but Meredith, dressed in her own costume? A spilled drink and some unkind words regarding their mothers' respective occupations later, Mac had distracted the security guards long enough for Meredith to work her way into the locked club owner's office and find out what really happened to Alejandro. The guards worked Mac over pretty good, but, UNFORTUNATELY, MARTYRDOM IS IN THE JOB DESCRIPTION.
