Backgrounds[edit]

Backing 1: Adorjan[edit]

Tyr's Mistress holds his soul, and so long as his efforts towards the Reclamation please her, she will make her favor known.

Influence 1: Adorjan-derived demons[edit]

Similarly, so long as he maintains her favor, Adorjan's children know they can only push so far against a Green Sun Prince.

Cult 1: Champion of Hell[edit]

As one of the Green Sun Prices, Tyr shares in the worship of all of the Yozis servants.

Cult 4: The Broken Men[edit]

Not all of Tyr's victims meet a sad end...so far as he's concerned. Those who truly impress him, or truly anger him are subject to a different fate. By manipulating them through their passions, he twists them into caricatures of their former selves, with a deep devotion to advancing the Reclamation through Tyr's agenda. Fanatical, but quiet about it, they try to spread Adorjan's twisted mix of love and hate among their communities, turning others to the worship of the Yozis. Wherever the powerful lord over others, be it just or tyrannical, they known Tyr will eventually arrive, to wreck capricious havok and destabilize anything displeasing to him.

Artifact 3: Erymanthus demon-ink tattoo[edit]

Strength +2, Athletics +1, Martial Arts +_Lore: Theology +1, Lore: History +2 That of a hideous Blood-ape, stretched across his left arm.

Manse 3: Sword-and-Fist Unity Stone[edit]

Taken from a lesser demon of Malfeas, this forbidding manse provides the aid of the Demon City in times of combat.

Artifact 5: Withered Soul Glaive[edit]

Forged from vitriolic iron under the heat of Ligier's wasted sun, this direlance is covered in foul, ever-shifting demonic runes, spelling out the Yozis hatred for alol of Creation. Imbued with an unknown demonic essence, the Soul-Withering Glaive exists to undermine the power of the Gods and their champions, the Exalted. The bearer gains +3 to all DVs against charm or sorcery-enhanced attacks (though unenhanced attacks with artifact weapons or passive bonuses to attoributes/abilities from artifacts receive no bonus). Additionally, when the bearer of the Glaive strokes an Exalt and inflicts at least 1 HL, the Infernal may roll Essence+Presence at a difficulty of the minimum essence of an ongoing charm to disrupt it, as the power of the Yozis overwhelms a lesser use of essence. Only one charm may be disrupted per attack (thus, flurries could disrupt several charms, but attacks that allow only one attack roll but multiple damage rolls would not). In additon, the Glaive's expert craftsmanship gives it the bonuses of an Orichalcum weapon.

History[edit]

The mortal wqho would become thew Benevolent Flensing Tyrant started his life as a noble man, generous to his neighbors, and a fearless deender of the common man. A heralded hero, and the envy of all. Or so he deeply wished. In reality, he was a small, petty man, with many jealousies. He genuinely did take steps to try to live up to the reputation he decided he deserved. Mianly by seeking out trouble, or bringing it down on himself in hopes of becoming a great and celebrated warrior. And for the most part, he failed miserably. Almost inhumanly stubborn (some would say maybe a bit suicidal in his continued idiocy), he was often saved by others, who kept him from losing life or limb, but only stoked the fires of his jealous, irrational envy of others.

While he didn't see it at the time, his envy and jealousy cost him everything he blamed on others. When his children turned their backs on him after he managed to incite a band of brigands to invade their village, he blamed them for being ungrateful. When others were lauded for their bravery, he seethed, convinced they';d somehow stolen his glory. When his wife left him for a travelling nobleman, it was the final straw. Convinced that everyone around him was too foolish to know what they had in him, he set forth, determined to gain their love and devotion in an act of glory...and then let them all suffer as he denied them.

It was everything he dreamed of...a bold stand against a band of Wyld barbarians from the deep Southern pole. Armed with his trusty sword and his confidence that the world was due to bow down to him anyway, he challenged their leader to a battle. The fight was over in less time than it took to issue the challenge, with Tyrant battered and broken, and the barbarians leaving him behind out of amused pity. At that moent, the howling winds took a voice. And that voic offered him a chance to redeem himself. To gain the fear and admiration of millions, and spurn them all, or show themk the price for their late devotion. All he had to do was offer himself wholly to the Silent Wind. The choice was obvious, and Benevolent Flensing Tyrant was born.

Personality[edit]

Tyr hides behind a mask of pleasantness for most people. While he always seems a bit aloof, even cold, he generally has a kind word for the the commoner on the street. In the presence of the powerful and privileged, this tends to change. He becomes more confrontational and bitingly sarcastic, often trying to make himself look superior to them in front of others. His greatest delight is in engaging notable figures in any community and slowly eroding their support from beneath them (usually with the goal of converting them to Broken Men).
