Still sepia photos in rapid succession: Young Sara hanging off anchor Nathan, while Josh looks on in pain - Keenan holding anchor Yukiko as they cry into each other's shoulders - Anna kissing Anchor Meredith goodbye - the run on the base - the exploding moon.
Then, color photos: A sixteen-year old Sara in a plain white wedding dress and Josh in a makeshift suit - Anna's funeral, and Sara and a child Archer strewing her grave with flowers - a child Archer Lin kissing Sophie, to her shock and Keenan's amusement ...
Looking back at the beginning of this
Sara walking with her son and daughter in the evening, Ari talking with Isaac to Jon's amusement. Kids play PA&M in the background - then the lights flash red. Sara, worried, kisses Jon, then Ari, who then rush to the creche.
And how life was
Jessica gives Ariana a thumbs-up and a grin: Lily squeezes Jon's hand in passing. Casey is already in position: Noah and Archer look on, Noah in wonder, Archer in resignation.
Just you and me and love and all of our friends
Thier ANIMa - Ari's Magical Femroid Glorious Princess; Jon's walking cannon; Casey's angular machine; Archer's Kakashi-Bot; and Noah's close-in skirmisher - fly out over the dreamscape sea at night, crescent moon with the convex-side pointing downwards, to meet the alien enemies.
Living life like an ocean
Suddenly a tentacle snakes up from the waters, dragging Casey's mech down. She, in the cockpit, silently screams: Jon, in his cockpit, gasps in shock and his ANIMa grabs for her mech's hand. More tentacles whip out, latching on to them and slowly, surely, dragging them down.
Now the current's slowly pulling me down, it's getting harder to breathe
Noah tries to slice away tentacles, as does Archer, but to no avail.
It won't be too long and I'll be going under
Casey slowly submerges, eyes wide with fear and she opens her mouth, with a silent "Don't let go!"
Can you save me from this...?
Jon closes his eyes and grits his teeth in preparation...
Cuz it's not my time! I'm not going!
...and unfolds his razor sharp wings at the same time that he flings Casey - and the helpless Deep One reject - high into the air, as he screams a silent, triumphant "NOW!"
There's a fear in me - It's not showing!
Ariana pumps her fists and nods, screwing up her face in mock seriousness, and starts to collimate energy into the Staff of the First Heroes.
This could be the end of me, and everything I know -
Archer, with a savage sneer, levels his claws, and waits for his Anchor to confirm lock-on... then he and Ariana fire at the exact same moment...
Oh, I won't go!
...blowing the alien into what motes of Essence must look like.
The title fades into place, superimposed over the action - the Bliss Stage logo:

Followed by a flash of light reflected from the newly appearing subtitle:

The pilots awaken, and spill out into the creche with various "we did it!" gestures to thier Anchors - Jon and Lily glomping each other, Ariana high-fiving Jessica, Archer's simple satisfied nod and smile to Hope, Karen hugging Casey's leg as Case cracks a sad smile and pats her head, and Noah looking at Celine, who sighs in relief, with a smile.
