<Lili> I'm not sure if Chuubo knows I'm the Engine or whether he just doesn't know I go around solving crimes, possibly with my cat girl kind of adopted daughter.

<Lili> And I posed as Luthi's mom to Mrs. Senko to get her into School. I have a habit (Beth-made-up) of called her simply 'Senko' in a competitive manner.

<@Etheric> Beth, the canon is that Chuubo knows that Lilimund is the Engine but not that she has a busy life doing stuff other than "being the Miraculous Wish-Granting MacGuffin." That said, I imagine you have the freedom to play it either way.

<@Random_Nerd> Second, we will have the first meeting of SNURC. This will be taking place at School, immediately after usual school hours and before the vampire classes begin.
<@Random_Nerd> Not that there are vampires. So irrational. And yet, there are all those scheduled classes...

<@Random_Nerd> Principal Entropy the Second walks across the dark green carpet of his office, and sits at his dark wood desk.
<@Lili> (And I can wear anything! ^^ )
<@deMontreal> (you forgot the J-Pop theme and the ridiculous poses and smoldering looks)
<@Random_Nerd> He's a tall and thin guy, mid-to-late college age, and wearing an unbuttoned suit and a loose tie. His hands drip with blood.
<@Natalia> (Hush, that comes after the vaguely foreshadowing intro scene!)
<@deMontreal> (oh right)
<@Random_Nerd> At his desk, he opens a manilla folder labelled SNURC in ominous gothic letters.
<@Random_Nerd> Photos spill out. A Russian girl. A young catgirl. A heartless mad scientist. And so forth. Lillimund and Senko's pictures are included.
<@Random_Nerd> He pulls a pair of sunglasses from his pocket, looks at the camera, and smiles. Light from no obvious source glints off the sunglasses.
<@Random_Nerd> Various acronyms float across the screen. SNURC. SEED. SITVW.
<@deMontreal> (NERV)
<@Luthien> (... great, he's played by what's-his-name, Supercop of CSI Miami)
<@Mrs_Senko> (POPKRN)
<@Random_Nerd> Dramatic music plays, while images of your characters doing cool things show.
<@Lili> (Or the dad from NGE.)
<@Random_Nerd> The screen goes dark, showing only the word SNURC.
<@Random_Nerd> And then the first scene opens.
<@Natalia> (I was thinking he was Souji Mikage, but that works too.)
<@Random_Nerd> You're sitting in the classroom assigned to SNURC. It looks like a fairly ordinary schoolroom, with desks, windows, and a chalkboard.
<@Mrs_Senko> (Mrs. Senko's cool thing is standing there shaking her head and waving her finger while Glum pops up out of her shadow.)
<@Random_Nerd> However, there are two peculiarities.
<@deMontreal> (Only two?)
<@Mrs_Senko> (We don't count.)
<@Random_Nerd> First, it's a normally sized room, while the hall outside is a huge and gothic thing, with a ceiling at least a hundred feet high.

• @Soun_Shounen sleep with a soft "zzzzzzz...."
  

<@Random_Nerd> Second, despite that the windows show the outside, it's on the interior of the School building.
<@Random_Nerd> And yet.
<@Luthien> (Luthien's is to appear out of night!)
<@Random_Nerd> (Please describe your characters either sitting or coming into the room.)

• @deMontreal is tweaking a disturbing-looking whatsit
  

<@Luthien> Luthien is busy putting heart stickers on the desks. They're happier for it!
<@Random_Nerd> Chuubo sits at his desk attentively in a vaguely distracted way, like a pupil who's hoping that the teacher is about to ask a question and he knows the answer.
<@Random_Nerd> (Also, please describe the physical appearance of your characters.)

• @deMontreal drops a 7-legged spider-bot on the desk
  
• @Natalia has her legs crossed in a chair on the right side of the second row, drumming her nails against the desk. She's both bored and annoyed, and makes a point not to look at either Mrs. Senko or the obnoxiously impossible window view.
  
• @Soun_Shounen sleep with a soft "zzzzzzz...." at the very back of the room
  

<@Lili> (Is this the first meeting?)
<@Random_Nerd> (Yes.)
<@Random_Nerd> Mrs. Senko, you know three things. First, that as this is the first meeting of the Club, it will be necessary to determine a first project. Second, that this is to be determined by a Club vote. And third, that you must have done something to offend Principal Entropy more than usual for him to put you here.
<@Random_Nerd> And with that, Lillimund walks in. Perfect.

• @Lili will burst in through the door of the room! "Hello, children! I am happy to be invited to...oh. Senko."
  
• @deMontreal is 16, a little pale, hair just a little out of line of otherwise carefully styled. He's wearing the black-and-gold uniform, seemingly with the sun symbol emphasized.
  

<@Random_Nerd> Chuubo glances at Lillumund in a friendly but vaguely puzzled way, as if he just saw his pet hamster walking down the street in a suit and with a briefcase in one hand.

• @Natalia is a fifteen-year-old girl in a black sailor uniform with a red scarf, and red highlights. She has dark eyes and dusky blonde hair, shoulder-length and uncombed.
  

<@deMontreal> His hands have slight scratches and grease under the fingernails.
<@Mrs_Senko> Mrs. Senko is standing and quietly taking attendance. Her hair is pulled back into a tight ponytail, there are stars in her eyes and she wears reading glasses...because it makes sense for a teacher to wear reading glasses. She wears a black skirtsuit that looks ALMOST martial.)
<@deMontreal> His spider-bot is crawling around the desk vaporizing stuck gum.
<@Random_Nerd> Lillimund, you know that Principal Entropy II has asked you to assist with this club's projects. You also know that when he did that, he smiled as if you were wearing a flamingo on your head that only he could see.
<@Lili> (I possibly was.)
<@deMontreal> (de Montreal ... sees the flamingo. :) )
<@Mrs_Senko> (Don't be silly. There's no such thing as visible invisible flamingos!)
<@deMontreal> (Obviously it's related to the invisible pink unicorn.)

• @Lili would check the room number but has already seen her Boss there. "Hello! I am the representative of SITVW." She pronounces the acronym perfectly.
  

<@Random_Nerd> The spider-bot stretches its legs on the desk, and begins to skitter back and forth.
<@Mrs_Senko> (In that neither of them exist! Really, Mr. de Montreal! These ideas!)
<@Mrs_Senko> (*tuts*)
<@Random_Nerd> Mrs. Senko, you know that everyone who should be there is there.
<@Luthien> (Luthien is a shortish 10-year old catgirl, with a cloaklike thing over her uniform. It has a hood. She thinks it looks awesome. She has chibi-large blue eyes and tawny fur on her ears and such)

• @Mrs_Senko finishes taking roll
  
• @Soun_Shounen is 16, with a really cool uniform that vaguely resemble the standard one. Is dark with golden touches here and there that underline his eyes. He have a slighly wild haircut that enhances his awesome appearance
  

<@Random_Nerd> Strictly speaking, none of you should be there, as the students should be studying something useful, and you should be on a sunny beach in the Deep Outside lecturing a nameless horror on proper deportment. But still.
<@Luthien> (Oh, Luthien's cloak looks like the night.)
<@deMontreal> My uniform is just a little bit dirty. Can't get anything 100% clean where I live.
<@Random_Nerd> Luthien's cloak would be a violation of the required uniform, except for the fact that magical cloaks, obviously, don't exist. So she isn't wearing one, and thus is properly attired. Obviously.
<@Lili> (Explains why you're here, Leo, if it's a punishment.)
<@Mrs_Senko> "So, was there a plan in forming this club or were you kids just planning to slack off and play euchre for the period?"
<@Mrs_Senko> "Because I will not abide euchre."
<@Luthien> "I've heard canasta is good"
<@deMontreal> "Well, there are other games."
<@Luthien> "But there are problems to find! People to help! Streets to expl... clean!"
<@deMontreal> (There's this one that uses a 20-sided die that I've heard is interesting.)
<@Mrs_Senko> "Neither will I abide canasta, though I do admit to its sensible superiority."

• @Natalia glares at Mrs. Senko. Then her eyes widen as she notices for the first time that the teacher appears as clueless about the reason as she is.
  

<@Mrs_Senko> "Let's go clean some streets, then!"
<@Soun_Shounen> "zzz... z..."

• @Lili smiles at Luthi. "Indeed! Lots of opportunities for intelligent out-going young people!"
  

<@deMontreal> "We could... go out into Town and... well, do whatever is needed to improve peoples' lot."
<@Mrs_Senko> "MR. SOUN!"
<@Random_Nerd> Town does, of course, have its seedy aspects. Urban jungles growing in Old Moulder! And some of the rats of Fortitude have appalling table manners!

• @Lili will make friendly overtures toward the spider-bot. Maybe offer it a biscuit.
  

<@Soun_Shounen> "Whoa! I mean Yes Teacher!"

• @deMontreal directs his spiderbot to 'check out' Soun
  
• @Natalia rolls her eyes and shrugs her shoulders in an exaggerated "Oh brother" expression.
  

<@Mrs_Senko> "Do not sleep! It is a waste of energy."
<@Random_Nerd> Lili, the spider bot examines you curiously. Its methods of construction appear nonstandard. Of all the seven-legged spider-bots you have seen this week, it is the most peculiar.
<@Soun_Shounen> "But I was rehearsing toughs"
<@Random_Nerd> Chuubo, quietly: "Could... does anyone have a project they think we should work on?"
<@Mrs_Senko> "That excuse is and will always be unacceptable."

• @Natalia snaps back to attention as Mrs. Senko snaps at Shounen. There is Something Up here. She needs more information.
  
• @Soun_Shounen try to ding smile
  

<@Random_Nerd> It totally works.

• @Lili will let the spiderbot do as its master commands. Wouldn't want to bother the poor thing while it's on the clock.

<@Random_Nerd> Natalia, Senko, it is obvious to both of you that that smile just ain't right.

• @Mrs_Senko frowns.
  
• @Natalia isn't looking at it. She certainly didn't glance back and notice it out of the corner of her eye! Even though anyone looking would have seen differently.
  

<@Random_Nerd> The spiderbot peers curiously at the glint of light.

• @Soun_Shounen ask under voice to the nearest ... folk ... "what we are doing now?"
  

<@Random_Nerd> And at that moment, there's a brief knock on the door, and then it opens.
<@Random_Nerd> Principal Entropy stands in the doorway.
<@Random_Nerd> His hands are covered in gloves of thin, slightly stained leather.
<@Mrs_Senko> "Mr. Entropy! What a surprise!"
<@Random_Nerd> He's wearing sunglasses, despite that it's both indoors and evening.
<@Soun_Shounen> (practical!)
<@Random_Nerd> He smiles.
<@Luthien> "Principal Entropy! How are you! That sandwich the other day was excellent, thank you very much :)"

• @Natalia exhales, glad of a reprieve as the door begins to open. Then she freezes lie a deer in the headlights, when the Principal steps in.
  
• @Lili freezes in the manner of beings in the presence of a greater predator.
  

<@Lili> (Man, that was horrible spelling.)

• @deMontreal subtly signals his spiderbot to return
  

<@Lili> (He smiled? I'm getting cognitive dissonance.)
<@Random_Nerd> Entropy II: "Ah, yes, Mrs. Senko. I wished... *he winks at Lillimund* to stop by and see how the Club was coming along. I have high hopes for this group of students!"
<@Random_Nerd> Entropy II: "So, what project will your students be beginning first, Mrs. Senko?"

• @Lili smiles at the Principal! How wonderful of him to see how helping the community will help the students!
  

<@Random_Nerd> Totally unfair. He hasn't given even close to enough time for anything to even be proposed, let alone voted on. And yet.

<@Luthien> "I've never been to [crud, some district on the other side from my home] - let's start there!"
<@Random_Nerd> He sweeps out with all the solemn majesty of a twenty-two year old school principal.
<@Mrs_Senko> "..."
<@Lili> (Huh. I'm only a year younger than him. I think I should be worried.)
<@Mrs_Senko> "Does everyone have gloves?"

• @Lili remembers to breathe again.
  

<@deMontreal> "Several types."

• @Soun_Shounen nod
  
• @Natalia mutters, under her breath, as the Principal departs. "Is this his idea of a joke?"
  

<@deMontreal> and a larger version of this spiderbot to do the actual work.

• @Lili is wearing a skirt and a jacket with many pockets. Pockets on pockets. She will search a number of them and finally pull out a pair of gloves triumphantly.
  

<@Random_Nerd> Chuubo shrugs at Natalia. Who can know the ways of gods, demons, and senior administrative personnel?

• @Natalia's brain logs the question but it takes her some few moments to actually notice it, as angry as she's become. Finally she answers. "I will need work gloves."
  

<@Luthien> "Gloves?"

• @Soun_Shounen nonchalantly take gloves from a pocket
  

<@Random_Nerd> What do Soun's gloves look like?
<@Random_Nerd> (Err, Shounen's.)

But still, nothing all that unexpected. Natalia washes her hands methodically and then rejoins the group at the table, taking a careful, controlled table posture out of long-taught habit.

<@lazarus> I am impressed with how good the character pamphlet - for Luthien, anyway - is. I have a really good sense of who she is - in my own variation, anyway - and pretty much the rules for how to use her. I am disappointed by lack of Wish-Granting Engine description/rules in the pamphlet, though.
