Middlegate[edit]
Middlegate is a (fictional) large city in Central Illinois, about three hours south of Chicago. It features a large state university as well as numerous high-tech jobs, and has a population of about 2,000,000 in the entire metropolitan area.

A large state university, noted for Engineering, Business, and Agriculture.
The Brilliant Star Rocket[edit]
A back alley shop that no more than ten people know about. It's supposed to be a pawn shop but it only deals in antique junk that nobody has an idea on what to do with. It is unknown how its owner manages to make a living; it is rumored he feeds on the rats that roam in the neighbourhood.
The Junkyard[edit]
Mazda goes here for parts that she can't find at The Brilliant Star Rocket.
Hayes Arboretum[edit]
A peaceful place.
Has Beans[edit]
While some go to Starbucks, townies in the know and students who talk to townies go to this independent coffeeshop, run by retired local rock star Brother Rick. He often arranges showings for up-and-coming local acts.
South Middlegate High[edit]
A high school, attended by several noteworthy students.
The Riddle Of Steel[edit]
This curious shop specializes in one thing - swords. Most of these swords are hand-made and of excellent craftsmanship, though they're display pieces rather than actual battle weapons. The owner, Mr. Howard, makes a comfortable living selling about a dozen pieces a month to tourists. Most people think he's a little insane. However, he definitely knows his stuff.
Belmont Pearl[edit]
The Smith family has been going to this Tai resturant since she was a little kid. She still considers it the best food for a reasonable price in town.
Domus Lane[edit]
Where Ash, Sasha and Ichiro live. It's a quiet, peaceful place, out of a storybook. The neighbors are nice and the local Taco Hut has big servings.
Lincoln Hill (and chapel)[edit]
Located just some distance away from Domus Lane, Lincoln Hill is most well-known fort its view of the suborbs and the creepy chapel on top. The pastor is an Asian man with a grim aspect, who somehow sounds like he wants to kill you even when he's helping you. Strangely popular with the adults, though.
Lincoln Bridge[edit]
connecting the suburbs to Middlegate proper, Lincoln Bridge is a suspension bridge running over Lincoln River, which flows from the sea to Lincoln Lake.
Callahan Refurbishment Services[edit]
Sasha's Fathers company and place that she spends a lot of time working there when she can.
Middlegate Race track[edit]
Closely associated with her farther's business, the track is equipped with testing equipment for gathering data on the new refurbished vehicles. Local's can also pay a small fee to be able to race there own vehicles there its very popular with the younger crowd who feel the need for speed.
The Clarendon[edit]
It's one of those places that you only go to if your in the know, but its very nice old world style pub. Serves a nice mixture of foods and good Ale's and beers. Sasha will often drag Ash and Ichiro down there having acquired a taste for Ale due to her mother
Lower Street Mall[edit]
Not quite as glitzy as the newer Upper Mall, but style has a good selection of shops and a pretty cheap food court.
