Ka'Tho was a Thri-Kreen gladiator who was acquainted with Daraek in the badlands of Meng-Rez. After Ka'Tho lost the rest of his clutch of Thri-Kreen, he needed someone to help him look for them. Sadly, they all perished, but Daraek knew the Thri-Kreen tongue, and was able to lead Ka'Tho into Tyr, where Daraek entered Ka'Tho into the gladiatorial bouts. However, Ka'Tho needed a handler, and he found this in Megaera, the only member of House Erinyes who could speak Thri-Kreen.
