Fatigue[edit]

Under normal circumstances, characters may avoid accumulating Fatigue if they take a 1 Turn rest every hour and after every combat. Any time characters are unable to take this rest, they will accumulate a point of Fatigue until they get a chance to rest. Such a fatigue subtracts from all rolls for the character.

When characters suffer hardship, such as going a day without food or water, being exposed to extreme cold, or bushwhacking through dense undergrowth, they may accumulate longterm fatigue which they can only rid themselves of with food, heat, longterm rest, and so forth.

Magic fatigues spell casters in specific ways. It doesn't affect their ability to do other tasks, but it does affect future spell casting rolls. (It should be tracked separately from natural fatigue for that reason.) Any attempt at spell casting will accumulate magical fatigue for the character, unless a Critical is rolled on the spell casting attempt. This fatigue is recovered with a full night's (or similar) rest.
