Advancement in Godbound requires the accumulation of XP and the expenditure of Dominion. XP is earned by participation in the game, by the success of the pantheon of characters, and by achieving personal goals. Dominion is the character's permanent influence on the world.

- Saving Throws decrease by 1
- Add a new Fact related to advancement or deeds
- Gain 2 points for Words and Gifts
