CHARACTER GENERATION[edit]

The world was just the world. Until you were bitten. Until you were turned. Now the world is a place of nightmare. And that nightmare is drawing you in. Changing you. Corrupting you. Devouring you.

Five Questions[edit]

  • How were you turned? Was it violent or seductive? Were you given a choice? Is it something you sought out or something that was done to you? Was your Sire a full on monster? Or did they seem almost . . . human?
  • How did your Sire leave you? No Sire keeps its child close until that child proves it can survive. Did they explain things? Did they introduce you to your power? Simply walk away? Leave you in the street? Or did they throw you to the Nightmares of your new reality? Or worse, throw you at the soft human things you once loved?
  • What is on the surface? How do others perceive you? What do they see? As a new vampire your appearance is mostly human. But what sort of human do you seem to be when they look at you?
  • What lies beneath? The Beast and the Blood - they are changing you from the inside out. What doesn't anyone else see? What does your human-like mask hide? What crimes have you committed against your former humanity just to survive?
  • What ties you to the world? What do you truly care about, whether you want to or not? What still calls to you? What do you still fight for? What unfinished business has to be finished before the Beast emerges full and you no longer care?

Set Control[edit]

  • All characters begin play with 3 Control Dice

Set Responses[edit]

  • All characters can cycle through three Rage responses, primal survival instincts that ride them when their Beast is dominant. All characters begin with no Rage responses checked.

Set Blood Knacks[edit]

  • All characters start with 2 Knacks, things they are exceptionally good at. Knacks must be within the realm of human possibility. Driving, Fighting, Running, Computers, Mental Calculations. A knack can be anything, really, so long as it is humanly possible. Just when you do it it is at the outside edge of probably. People can still put it down to natural talent, but they can see the supernatural in the background if they dare to look.

Whenever a character Crashes they earn a new Knack to add to their total.

Set Beast Edge[edit]

  • All characters begin with a single Edge. An Edge is an ability that goes beyond human possibility. Edges can't be explained within the framework of human experience. Edges represent the impossible. Teleportation, Shapeshifting, Summoning, etc.

Whenever a character snaps they gain a new Edge.
