Real Name: Allison Blaire

Capsule: Allison Blaire, aka Dazzler, has come a long way since her campy beginnings as a roller skating disco queen who could turn herself into a human disco-ball by absorbing light. Over the years, she became a valued member of the X-Men. She has a history of overextending herself, whether it be balancing the worlds of heroism with performance art or trying to take on the Juggernaut by herself. This is more a testament to her desire to live with no limits. Though she has occasionally lost faith, she has always bounced back (eventually), fighting hard and taking names. More than once has her ability to struggle on been the glue upon which entire X-teams have survived.

Note: This Dazzler is circa 1980’s. In recent days she has shown the capacity to return from the dead, most likely taking the 2nd aspect of Absorption and using her stored energy to heal. In addition, Dazzler has always had the capacity to absorb any amount of sonics and return it, as when she absorbed the sonic using villain Klaw and expended it, attracting the attention of Galactus. I chose to use immunity to let it bleed away rather than make her power level X. Since all of her powers are based on absorbing sonics, I chose to make her buy an Alternate Power Array of Absorption powers as I could not find an appropriate extra to do this any easier. Just presume that all of these powers can call upon the same bank of stored energy. I’m unsure if I should add a limitation to represent that, which would give her another 12 points. I’m also wondering if the feat Energy Conversion also allows her to use a sonic based blast, which is not my intention. It says you “can” convert it, not that it automatically converts. In which case, it probably should not have cost a feat, but merely been a descriptor.
