Decadus was born from his Aasimar mother and a being his people worship as a god only known to them as Zero or The Creator God. His mother was known to not be just one man's toy so the village assumed he was but a bastard of a wandering traveler, leaving him with no sirname, until the boy hit puberty and started showing a miraculous ability to heal others. When he grew to be a man he became the village healer with a wife by the name of Serena Dalton and his two twin boys Cent Dalton and Mikhail Dalton, they took their mother's maiden name since their father had no sirname to pass on. Once his boys turned fourteen tragedy struck Decadus' life in the form of another child of their god Zero, this man was of Tiefling heritage and knew of the origin of his father. The man arrived at Decadus' home late one night while Decadus was on a trip to another village to help stop the spread of a terrible disease, which was started by Decadus' Tiefling brother to lure him away from his home. The Tiefling proceeded to kidnap Decadus' sons but Serena attempted to stop him which led to her death in quite a gruesome show. Upon Decadus' return home he saw his wife laying in a pool of blood and the symbol of their god written in blood upon their living room wall. After he wept his wife's passing Decadus found a note detailing where the tiefling had taken his children.

Upon arriving at the cave in which his sons were said to be he found them both in cages hung from what seemed to be a bottomless pit and the tiefling sitting upon a makeshift throne. The tiefling explained to Decadus about the origins of his birth and that his father gave birth to 5 children in this way, each of a different race and background. He told Deacadus how he loathed him because he himself was raised as a slave and was quite jealous of Decadus' ability to heal. The Tiefling introduced himself as Dreinar and told him that he was also born with an ability, the ability to spread misfortune and disease and that he had spread that disease to Decadus' two boys and then laughed telling him he only had time to save one and then tossed him the key. Decadus quickly grabbed the key and with much psychological turmoil rushed toward his son Micheal and opened his cell door and healed him all while Dreinar laughed. Decadus quickly ran to the other cage to unlock it only to find that the key didn't work and he helplessly watched his son die in agony. When he turned around to face Dreinar in anger he had already vanished and left him with his suffering. Stricken with remorse and grief Decadus left his son Mikhail who was still barely concious with a local group of Quigong monks and explained that he did not believe he was of sound enough mind to raise the child any further and asked that the monks did it for him. They agreed and Decadus left on a journey to find Dreinar and seek his revenge.
