As you land roughly onto the ground a cloud of ash fills your lungs. Looking around you see that you are in a valley surrounded by large grey mountains. Looking up you can just see the snow-covered tops through the thick clouds. The grounds are covered in a thick layer of ash. Every now and then you see what must have been a mighty tree (oak). An eastern wind blows a cold salty air into your face, making your shiver. Standing still for a few moments, you recon winter can’t be far off now. Long shadows cast by the setting sun are already covering most of the vally in twilight.

In the far east of the valley you can just make out a path leading into the mountains

After some hours walking they look down from the mountain. There one and see a small village near the coast. Surrounding the village is a large wall.

Brickstone village[edit]

Brickstone stands on top of a large hill surrounded by mountains The peaceful village of Bricktone was founded by the good people known as lesser Aasimar. They were driven off their lands by real Aasimar. After their long travel they finally found a space to call their own only to find themselves in an ancient war that plagues this lands.

During their last attack the undead army burned down the forest that provided a lot of their resources. To make it worse the forest also provided food for stronger creatures. Now that source of food is gone they stared to attack the villagers. having send every men capable of fighting to Hope's beacon in order to get help the village is defenseless against the upholding attacks. The villagers are now hidden in the center of the village, too scared to make fire or noise when the sun goes down. Unless a hero comes to slay their enemies and find a new source of food for them, they will starve.

The village elder has a plan to save them all. Someone has to go clear out the cave of monsters spiders and bring their bodies back for storage. It’s not a comfortable option but they have no choice. They have bought a group of warforged and send them into battle a while ago. It cost them a fortune but none of the warforged where ever seen again.
