Donny was never a good kid, but he wasn't really bad either. He would go to school and read a magazine in class rather then skipping, sell weed but not beat anyone up, that sort of thing. His parent's didn't really care, they didn't have high hopes for him in the first place. He played football and wrestled, but never practiced enough to be very good in either. After he barely graduated he moved away to the city and fell in with the wrong crowd. A bookie/drug dealer named Nicky saw his potential and gave him a job. He hung out at bars, sold some weed, stood around looking tough, and rarely beat the shit out of someone. It was a pretty good life as far as Donny was concerned, and a stepping stone to bigger things. Until one day he was asked to beat up the wrong guy. A man stiffed Nicky on a bet, so Donny broke into his apartment to look for him. There he discovered a bizarre shrine with a necklace hung on the place of worship. He grabbed it, figuring it might settle whatever the score was. That night the thing who's house he broke into came after him. It didn't go down after he shot it twice and it's fingers cut like knives. Luckily whatever it was it wasn't very fast. Donny skipped town and headed back home.

Now that he's lived in the big city Donny styles himself as a sophisticated criminal. He thinks the local underworld, such as there is, should be happy to fall under his control. No one else sees it that way. He's got a job as a bartender/bouncer and he always keeps the weird necklace in his pocket and a (legal) 9mm in a holster.
