Elsie Hudson[edit]

Elsie Hudson.jpg

As with all Hudson’s before her, Elsie was raised to be a hunter. There wasn’t a day that went by where she wasn’t told how terrible supernatural creatures were, how they wouldn’t hesitate to destroy her, drain her of blood, and tear her limb from limb. Traveling around Scotland, as well as the United Kingdom, the Hudson family portrayed themselves as Gypsies to make the constant moving seem less suspicious. In reality they were keeping tabs on all the creatures around the Isle, constantly vigilant!

However, the young lass never saw it that way, in fact, she saw it completely differently. Raised to know of the other creatures, and know that their existence happened alongside her own, Elsie’s perception of the world was rather fairy tale. Believing that she was the hero of her own story, as well as everyone else’s, Elsie took the title of hunter a little two fantastically. By her teens she was already adopting a very flirtatious and promiscuous approach to love, never giving a care that she strung boys along and broke hearts when it was time to leave town. The feeling that she was wanted, fawned over, Elsie just couldn’t get enough! Constantly disappointed in her flighty attitude, her family decided to push the Hunter agenda on her harder. And while Elsie had never been a ‘by the books’ Hunter, she still managed to do well enough to merit going out into the field.

Once in her late twenties, Elsie was on the path to become a full-fledged hunter. But love is a curious thing that changes worlds and plans, taking with it all wisdom and replacing it with a welcomed uncertainty. Entranced by the lively lifestyle she’d created for herself, Elsie’s heart was swept away by the man of her dreams, a man straight out of a fairy tale. Known only as “Sir Sagrell”, Elsie fell head over heels for this abnormally charismatic man, so much so that her love for him blinded her ability to see… that he was a vampire. One night she and Sagrell (who had dramatically failed a Circle ritual earlier that night) embraced passionately and laid together…resulting in the conception of a child. It wasn’t until months later when Elsie visited Sagrell that he saw she was with child, to which she informed him it could only belong to him, the love of her life. It was then that Sagrell broke the facade and expressed his true nature… But love finds a way; even after Elsie realized her attraction was to an undead creature, she made the decision to continue loving him.

Rather than adopt the hunter lifestyle, Elsie confronted her father and expressed her want to marry the father of her child. But so enraged was the old hunter that his lifelong duty to continue protecting the Isle had been corrupted, that he confronted Sagrell and ultimately perished. Heavily pregnant Elsie and Sagrell fled into the night, planting roots in Edinburgh nearer to Sagrell’s Circle and Prince. Shortly before her child’s birth, Elsie purchased The Black Emporium from a strange old man, and opened an odds and ends consignment shop for mystical items. Soon after birth, Elsie’s heart was swept up by the duties of motherhood. Fergus was a fine young lad and Elsie would do anything to continue the fulfillment of motherhood. But not all fairy tales have a happy ending, and after a series of strange event, Elsie found herself defending her child and her home from an intruder: Solomon Aensland. Hiding Fergus, Elsie managed to fend off the powerful vampire, but was mortally wounded in the process. In a last ditch effort of despair, Sagrell embraced her…

Since her embrace, Elsie has indulged further into her sensual nature. However, Elsie’s motherly instinct still rings within her as a Kindred, and through diligent efforts, she has done her best to raise Fergus with the help of her ghoul Esther. While this is difficult due to her devious nature, Elsie tries her best to be the best mother. However, she is not...

She uses her motherly charm, as well as seductive tendencies to lure humans and creatures alike, occasionally touching on her hunter training to aid in her endeavors. However, she has become a bit more devious than in life, always wanting to tempt others into something they might otherwise avoid. Yet her motherly charms are sometimes twisted into something much worse, her using those kine around her to create a ‘Munchhausen syndrome by proxy’ situation. Elsie longs to be surrounded by those who adore her and need her, and she makes sure there is always someone filling that position.
