The Cadre: The special forces operators of the Vigil, the Cadre is composed of former military personnel who have turned their attention toward killin' boogeymen. Equipped with the most cutting-edge hardware they can find and tactics honed in modern warfare, they take the fight to the Malefactors with brute force and battle-hardened discipline. The Cadre is sometimes looked down upon by the more enlightened departments of the organization, but all respect their impeccible fighting ability and resolve in the face of long odds.

Style: This is a riff on those horror-action flicks that place guys with machine guns against terrible monsters. Aliens was perhaps the first and best, but you've also got your Predator, your Dog Soldiers, and any number of straight to video B-Movies. GURPS Black Ops also has this pretty well covered
