Physical Description[edit]

They appear human-like, with similar physiologies. They have two hearts however and are typically much bigger, generally over seven feet tall. Their sight and hearing are much more advanced. Due to the darkness, their eyes emit their own faint glow. A Risty is never in total darkness. they typically have blue black or grey eyes. All Risty possess small antennae at the top of the forehead to help process electro-magnetic signals though, in most cases, they are invisible beneath the hairline. Something about the eezo exposure that causes Risty biotics stunts their typical growth though and they are much smaller than the rest of their race. The Risty are nominally in Ulmer space but the Ulmer do nothing to protect them from slavers, generally leaving them to their own devices.

Home World[edit]

Duralizx V. The fifth planet in the Duralizx system. The planet does not rotate, and as such, has a light side and a dark side. The dark side is covered in ice, whereas the light side is perpetually clouded over.

Society[edit]

They do not seem to have a god or any sort of religion, but seem to value their word above all else. The female to male ratio is approximately 7 to 1. The males seem to have the higher places in society, and the women do most of the labor. The Risty have only a very basic verbal language, communicating mostly through body language and natural electro-magnetic pulses their bodies emit. These EMPs are not strong enough to interfere with technology but, in high-technology environements, Risty can become confused as they feel the presence of technology almost as ghostly voices trying to communicate with them, but in a tongue they don't understand.

History[edit]

Interactions With Other Races[edit]

The Risty are not a space-faring race, having only relatively primitive technology, though their culture is more advanced than it appears from the lack of technology. They are, unfortunately, often targeted by slavers for the physical size of their warriors and the unique abilities of their rare biotics, who have the ability to maintain multiple passive biotic effects for long periods of time much more easily than other races.
