Fiery Forest Fox[edit]

Mouse Ming was just your average girl from a poor family, only one step up from a street urchin. Since poverty was around the corner thievery was a way of life for many in her neighborhood, but to survive in the criminal world you needed to be tough. Mouse was anything but, too shy to even look at anyone except maybe through her long bangs. The only time she really looked up was when her grandmother was telling stories of the storied love affairs she’d heard about while casing joints disguised as a maid.

Then times got even tougher and Mouse had to find work. But there was no way she was going to last any place where people had to look at her. Thievery was the logical choice since not being seen was the whole point. Reluctantly she joined one of her brothers on what was supposed to be an easy job since the wealthy merchant and his family were supposed to be out of town.

Turns out the merchant’s wife had come back early. Confronted, Mouse froze up. But when the woman mistook mouse for a man an idea struck her. A crazy idea, so crazy it just might work. Mouse put on the most flamboyant and smoldering personality she could think of and convinced the woman that the Fiery Forest Fox was only there to see her and that the theft was merely to keep up appearances. The woman bought it so hard she even let “Fox” escape with the loot.

But the game was too fun not to continue, so “Fox” returned to the merchant’s house a few more times, then moved on to the houses of other bored rich women she heard about. Now the Fiery Forest Fox is wanted by every wealthy family in the city.........in more ways than one.
