Distinctions d8[edit]

Kingfisher Class[edit]

A surprisingly agile vessel with more than one trick up her proverbial sleeve. The Kingfisher is a long range scout ship, painted, specced, and ident coded as frontline medical craft.

Check002.png Hinder: Sometimes your distinction works against you. Gain 1 plot point when you roll a D4a.png instead of a D8a.png
Let Her Through You're a frontline medical ship after all. Pilot or dedicated comm operator can spend 1 PP to step up or double Performer to talk your way into an interdicted area for medical reasons.
Quadratic Stabilizers: Nobody expects a ship to perform like this. While attempting to evade another ship, the pilot may spend 1 PP to create a d10 Slipstream Asset. Each time you include Slipstream in a dice pool, step it back one after you roll.

Ghost in the Machine[edit]

Some ships have eyes. Yours has a brain. Your ship’s systems are augmented by an experimental artificial intelligence, and you can control many aspects of the ship like the helm, airlocks and doors by voice command. It listens. Most of the time.

Proper Nouns: The ship prefers to be addressed by crew as just Jian, which means Sword.

Pronouns: She/Her

Fly By Voice: You've always got a crew member onboard. Spend 1 PP to fly the ship without a pilot at the helm by voice or radio. Use Leader instead of Operator for rolls while piloting the ship via this method.
Intrusion Countermeasures: A ship with a brain is faster on the draw against electronic shenanigans than its crew. Spend 1 PP to step up or double Systems when your ship’s computers are being attacked by hackers, viruses, or Trojan horses.

Smuggler's Delight[edit]

Sometimes you need em to see what they see, not what is there. Half of your jobs are getting arms, armor, ammo, meds and manpower across battle lines undetected.

Hidey Holes: Your ship's infrastructure and exostructure were designed to make things go gone. When a Crewmember is trying to conceal cargo, add the ship’s Hull die to the roll.
Covert: Your hull materials and configuration make it easy to hide out in the black. When making a Performer or Operator roll to keep the ship from being spotted, the pilot may spend 1 PP to reroll.
