  • Name: Gaius Invanya Nostravelli
  • Rank: 4
  • Careers: Seneschal
  • Appearance: Gaius is a tall, gaunt and sneering individual. His dark hair is relatively long and he lacks facial hair. He dresses in such a way to conceal these things as much as possible, but his body is scarred from years of fights. If he wasn't always so well dressed he'd have the look of a scrapper about him.

Gaius always wears a freshly-laundered dress uniform, along with black gloves to hide the fact that his sword-arm is bionic. He dresses as meticulously as an organized serial killer.

Background[edit]

Gaius was born on a penal world, and has spent the rest of his life trying to live it down. Gaius grew up in an urbanized hellhole to rival the toughest underhive. The children of convicts were seen as less than vermin, and exterminated at will. Gaius learned how to fight, but more importantly how to outfit those he couldn't fight. And in an environment of extreme scarcity, he learned the value of every tiny resource.

Gaius was able to get off world by stowing-away and hiding in a voidship for several years. Once he made it to Footfall, he was able to ply the skills he learned growing up to make a living. He soon found that in an environment where people were only trying to kill him some of the time, he did quite well. He was able to make a great deal of money as a criminal planner and middleman, but he craved the respectability that his place of birth denied him. When he learned of a Rogue Trader in need of a master of coin, Gaius saw an opportunity for the legitimacy he sought all his life.

Gaius is a career criminal with delusions of respectability. He's intelligent enough to fake a sort of superficial refinement, but deep down he's still that kid from the penal colony just looking for a reason to shiv the living crap out of you.
