Description: The Saga of Wandering Sky is an epic tale of love, loss and courage, told as a testament to the degree of one man's devotion and persistence in the face of terrible odds, and as a paragon of the Xia virtues.

When the West Fire Doctrine Sect mounted their invasion, Yi Nangong led the Wulin as a whole to combat this grave threat to Shen Zhou. Many heroes walked their ranks, and among them was Zhang Weijie, a legendary spearman of the Bei clan, whose silver spear was as famous as he was. His wife, Zhang Huizhen and his daughter, Zhang Wanwen fought beside him, and together with his retinue of trusted warriors they were the first to charge the ranks of the fiery interlopers. But the Sect's leaders were cunning, and their group was funnelled into a narrow valley, where the Sect's fighters overwhelmed them. Weijie was knocked unconscious during the battle, and he awoke with the wind ripping at his face, and the bodies of his fellows surrounding him. But of his wife and child there were no sign. Taking up his silver spear, he followed the scorched trail of the Fire Doctrine warriors, the grim determination in his eyes a wordless pledge to find them no matter where they were.

Zhang Weijie was among the first to pledge his support to Nangong when it was declared that he would lead the combined Clans task force, and he served with the unyielding strength of his spear's blade, even on the terrible day when Flaming God took the field and devastated the Allied forces with his Solar Shock of the Blazing Sun kung fu. In every battle, Weijie's silver spear and he were one, reaving through the Fire Doctrine soldiers and sending them back and back again... to their deaths. When at last Flaming God was repulsed and the armies of the Western Fire Doctrine Sect scattered like leaves on the winds, Weijie searched the ranks of their prisoners of war, but he still could not find his wife and daughter.

Weijie continued his search, always with his trademark spear in hand, his travels taking him all over Shen Zhou, from the frigid North, to the opulent South, from the deepest valleys to the highest peaks. During this time, he battled injustice everywhere he encountered it, especially the cruel slavers who would shatter a family for profit, until he reached his final destination, an unremembered town in a small mountain pass in the North, where he met the Three Powers Sage on a killing spree. Weijie dismissed the town's paltry militia and unhooded his spear for the first time in ten years as the Three Powers Sage bore down on the settlement. Their battle lasted five days and five night, destroying many of the surrounding mountains, and it is said that Weijie fought so fiercely and with such passion that even the Three Powers Sage's heart of granite was moved by the man's dedication, and he conceded the field in respect for Weijie... but not before striking a blow that would end the warrior's life.

Bleeding poisoned blood from many wounds, his Chi almost exhausted and the remnants tainted beyond recovery, Weijie is said to have limped his way down from the crater where he and the Three Powers Sage had fought, reaching the gates of the town he had fought so hard to save, and he stabbed his spear into the frozen ground with the last of his strength, saying that he had finally found what he had been looking for.

"Let the sky wander," he said, "because my journey is done."

The next day, when the townsfolk found him, his spear was nowhere to be seen. It is said that the silver spear now wanders as the sky does, seeking those on long journeys... and guiding them towards their ultimate goal, whatever it may be.
