When two deities want to do something to the same place, item or group of people during the same epoch, or when one deity wants to stop another from doing something, the GM needs some way of determining who succeeds. This is one of the uses for resources. Whoever invests more of the appropriate resources into the act succeeds. These resources don't count towards lowering the effective power level and are lost regardless of who wins or loses.

Such conflicts should be fairly dramatic from the view of the material world, although any non-cosmetic effects should be determined by who won.
