Domains[edit]

  • (Earth) Granted Power: Turn or destroy air creatures as a good cleric turns undead. Rebuke, command, or bolster earth creatures as an evil cleric rebukes undead. Use these abilities a total number of times per day equal to 3 + your Charisma modifier. This granted power is a supernatural ability.
  • (Protection) Granted Power: You can generate a protective ward as a supernatural ability. Grant someone you touch a resistance bonus equal to your cleric level on his or her next saving throw. Activating this power is a standard action. The protective ward is an abjuration effect with a duration of 1 hour that is usable once per day.

Turning[edit]

A good cleric (or a neutral cleric who worships a good deity) can turn or destroy undead creatures. An evil cleric (or a neutral cleric who worships an evil deity) instead rebukes or commands such creatures. A neutral cleric of a neutral deity must choose whether his turning ability functions as that of a good cleric or an evil cleric. Once this choice is made, it cannot be reversed. This decision also determines whether the cleric can cast spontaneous cure or inflict spells (see above).

A cleric may attempt to turn undead a number of times per day equal to 3 + his Charisma modifier. A cleric with 5 or more ranks in Knowledge (religion) gets a +2 bonus on turning checks against undead.

Description[edit]

Appearance[edit]

Halandro is a young dwarven man of about 61 years of age. He has a neat beard, trimmed a bit shorter than is usual for a dwarf, and tends to play with his holy symbol when he's nervous.

History[edit]

Being a cleric of Moradin was not so much a calling as a family obligation. The Soulsteel family has traditionally provided clerics to Moradin for generations, and when tests early in life revealed Halandro had the potential, he had no choice whatsoever.

Fortunately, the church of Moradin is large and there is room for all clergy to find their niche. Though he had not the temperment to become a leader of the church, Halandro found his way to the Lorekeepers, those who keep the records of the dwarven people (and though few know this, of everyone else). He found joy in the story of ancient histories and also developed quite a knack for the study of anatomy and medicine.

Currently he is on "detached duty" to investigate signs of ancient records that might be found in undisturbed tombs from ages long ago. He has heard such records might be found in the Diamond Lake area and has resolved to offer his services to a company of explorers....
