Harbor City Israel Tanaka
Isreal Tanaka is an elected member of the Harbor City Council. He is noted for his predilection for conspiracy theories and is widely viewed as a sort of nutjob. He won the election largely because his opponents were disgraced, killed, or dropped out.
He runs a 900 number psychic hotline in his former campaign headquarters in the Velvet District.
Doctor Carrington made a significant contribution to his campaign, and Tanaka is favorably disposed towards him.
Tanaka possesses the super power of precognition, but is so unstable that it's hard to tell what's really the future, and what are figments of his paranoid fantasies.
He recently espoused several conspiracy theories on the floor of the City Council, although nobody paid much attention to them. They are:
- The Garibaldi family's take-out pizza chain has embedded sleeper assassins in the guise of pizza delivery boys throughout the city to eliminate their foes.
- James Watson has taken over the control of super high tech electronics implanted in the statue of Millard Fillmore, in the center of the city's Downtown Park, which provide covert surveillance on the good citizens of Harbor City to an unknown shadow government.
- The Shadow Government is doing mysterious and probably unethical things out on Fairhaven Island.
- The Military Industrial Complex, via the CIA, has contracted Goliath Electronics to create super death ray weapons and send them to revolutionaries in South America.
