Background[edit]

Abathas was born aboard a Black Ship, one of the hereditary crewmen that all starships are filled with. He became one of the ship's Salutants, gaolers, individuals charged with handling the low-level psykers in a way designed to tease out any of their more dangerous secrets they might be hiding. It's not uncommon for Black Ship crew to develop their own psychic powers in such charged environments and that is what happened to Abathas. The system found him before he even knew it himself, and he was thrown into confinement. He wore the Sanctioning well, and the Inquisition plucked him up - he never knew who or how - and subjected him to intensive psy-locutive techniques, filling his head with all manner of lore the full extent of which Abathas doesn't even understand. Then they put him on Desoleum, where his inquisitive skill and psychic sensitivity have been useful in helping to solve the minor crimes the cell has been tasked with so far.

Physicals[edit]

  • Height 1.8m
  • Weight 65kg
  • Complexion Fair

Abathas habitually dresses in dim-coloured clothing including a long black flak coat. His black hair is unruly and so often tied back. He claims sunlight is unnatural and often wears his photo-visor; when he doesn't, his heterochromatic green and blue eyes can startle the hidebound.
