Background

Vipsania joined the sisterhood at a young age, from as far back as she can remember it was what she had wanted to do. To live her life devoted to the Emperor and his works. During the testing and practice that filled her days it was decided that she would be guided to join one of the Orders Hospitaller.

She threw herself into her work tending to the sick and wounded and would likely have been a competent if unremarkable member of her order if it was not for an incident.

It was during an outbreak of a stranger fever that it occured. Vipsania was tending to the sick when she that all the people who became sick where from the same area of the city. She managed to convince the Cannonesse to allow her to set up a makeshift field hospital their and investigate the source of this strange illness. It took sometime but she was able to pinpoint the location a local drinking hole and went to investigate closer, unfortunately it was not as she had believed a case of some drinks of dubious origin but a cult dedicated to something dark and sinister.

Vipsania took up the weapons she had and attacked bringing the cleansing flame of the emperors glory to those who would pollute his people. This incident was a catalyst to the young Hospitaller and she came to realize that imperium its self was sick and needed healing. The infection must be cut out so that the whole would heal would best sum up her beliefs. She does not fight however with the fury of the battle sisters but rather with the clinical detachment of a skilled healer. Rather than singing psalms of the Emperors fury and wrath when in combat she is more likely to be singing of healing and forgiveness. For some reason many who met her find the notion of giving the Emperors forgiveness or asking for him to bring healing to heretics as she turns a flamer more disturbing than the fury of the battlesisters.

The stories of the her actions began to spread on the planet and came to the notice of the inquistion who decided they could have some use for her talents and obvious devotion to the emperor.
