CHANGING HERO POINTS[edit]

I've been thinking of reducing your TOTAL hero point maximum. Why??

  • For our campaign style they just aren't needed in the same way as normal Hero Points.
  • Your heroes aren't genuinely as "super powered" as their powered PL16 suggests - that give you 8 Hero Points. They should have HP closer to PL2.
  • You guys are hoarding your Hero Points anyway, which is not the point of hero points in the first place by the way.
  • The shorter games make having more Hero Points a problem (ie. they're never in jepordy of running low)
  • I have been INCORRECT about Mandy getting an extra HP per session, this feat only increases her maximum.

If this sounds FAIR enough I'm going to go with it... Basically giving you Hero Points = to your current Power Level 2 character.

NOTE - with your earning of experience points for co-creation you WILL be able to increase your PL2 character, thus increasing your Hero Point maximum... Basically you will have TWO hero points, with Mandy having THREE. I think that's a great number for spending as we have spent in past games... Just dangerous enough to worry, but important enough to spend when needed. As they should be.

HERO POINTS[edit]

Here's how the EARNING Hero Points system actually works... A character gets a Hero Point for any of the following:

  • Rolling a Natural ONE on a D20 check
  • When you're knocked unconcious or disabled by an opponent.
  • When captured or otherwise defeated by an opponent.
  • When mind controlled by an opponent or forced to take an action against your nature.
  • When the GM spends a Villain Point to affect you in some way.
  • Awards by the GM for cool quotes, situations, actions or additions.

VLLAIN POINTS[edit]

You can aquire Villain Points for doing something villainous (subject to GM). When your Villain Points equal or exceed your original Hero Point maximum you become a villain/NPC.

  • Each Villain Point you have reduces your total number of Hero Point maximum until the Villain Point is eliminated.
  • You can spend your Villain Point like a normal VP but you get an additional VP accelerating your slide into villainy.
  • You can remove a Villain Point by spending it to remove when you are awarded a Hero Point, but only when awarded for a heroic action as normal.
