Intuitive Synaptic-Haptic Interface[edit]

See ISHI.

ISHI[edit]

The Intuitive Synaptic-Haptic Interface was designed by human scientists during the war after attempting to reverse engineer Hylek technology. The ISHI system employed a set of control gauntlets and boots featuring hundreds of individual sensors. Through a combination of physical movements and predicting the intent of the pilot, the ISHI system allowed Mecha to move with speed and agility far beyond that of previous generations and tipped the scales of the war in favor of the human armies.

Mech[edit]

The name for the Generation 0 and Generation 1 giant robots created during the War. The term was generally abandoned with the creation of Generation 2 giant robots, but some nations still use the term universally.

Mecha[edit]

With the creation of the ISHI system and its inclusion in Generation 2 giant robots, the vehicles were able to move and react in ways impossible with the earlier generations. To separate these new vehicles from their clunky predecessors, the term Mecha was widely adopted.

Omnic Steel[edit]

A miraculous alloy of Iron, Titanium and Omnium. It has become the centerpiece for civil engineering as well as military vehicles and weapons, including mecha.

Omnium[edit]

A miraculous metal that was discovered around 200 years ago and sparked a technological revolution. It rests at the core of many of the worlds technologies, most predominately power generation. Omnium ore is found through the mountain ranges on the continent, mostly in teh souther and western regions, giving some nations more access than others.

Omnium Drive[edit]

Small Omnimum generators featuring one or two rotors. Single rotor Omnium Drives are found in personal vehicles and as personal generators. Dual Omnium Drives power larger vehicles, while Mecha require two individual Dual Omnium Drives.

Omnium Generator[edit]

More specifically, an Omnium Resonance Energy Generator. A set of seven Omnium rotors that form the core of a large generator. This configuration has become the standard for multiple designs and is used to power large buildings or vehicles. Omnium Power Plants feature multiple generators and supply power to cities or towns.

Syn-Haptics[edit]

Short for syn-haptic link. Both are common terms for the ISHI system used by pilots and mechanics. See ISHI.
