History
The tales about this figure are many and diverse, but the story that the priesthood of the emperor tells (and therefore the legal story) is the following. About 20000 years ago a child was born by ordinary parents. This child showed great mental, arcane and martial prowess. As the child matured it became known as the saviour at it saved its city from great dangers countless times. It was around this time that the saviours planet had its first contact with the very early starfarers. It was a ship with a horrible crew. At first glance they seemed to be humanoid but their bodies had additional tentacles and was constantly changing to deformed shapes. Luckily for the inhabitants of the planet the saviour was nearby and defeated the pseudo-infected crew. The saviour superior intellect soon discovered how the spaceship worked and set out to meet this starfaring civilization. What the saviour discovered was a civilization about to fall to the might of the pseudo-natural creatures. The saviour gathered the remnants of the pure under a common flag and with the saviour mighty powers they managed to defeat the pseudo-naturals and in the end the pseudonatural forces were sent back to the dimension where from it came. After the war the saviour took the title of emperor of all sentient beings because even with the powers at the emperors disposal the pseudonatural was not gone and was bound to return and all living needed a protector. Ever since that day the emperor has been the vanguard against all things pseudonatural and the priesthood of the emperor and the imperial inquisition tries to eradicate all signs of pseudonatural activity (sometimes with what is seen as a little too much zeal).
Now
If any living creature claims to have seen the Emperor they are properly lying. The last record of the Emperor being seen is from EY 15538 (almost 4500 years ago) in the battle of Ono-Tai where the Emperor personally commanded 5 million starmarines against the pseudonatural forces of the Pseudo-demon Argutoth the Greater. Nowadays the emperor is believed to reside in the imperial palace on the throneworld of Toskan and is tended by The Silent Ones a monastic order of mutes dedicated to serve the Emperors needs. All communication with the Emperor is through a Silent Speaker. That is a silent one that speaks with the voice of the Emperor. It is unknown whether the Emperor is male or female and the emperor's race is also unknown. Every sentient race has a tale that claims that the Emperor Is of their race. The priesthood of the Emperor claims that the Emperor is a supreme being beyond gender and race. The only ones that know – the silent ones – they keep silent on the subject....
