Origin: Super Science experimentation done by a series of mad doctors and scientists in the employee of a rather sinister organization.

History:

Her story began several hundred years before she was born. When Guy Fawkes and his gun powder plot failed, he was taken before the King. Sentenced to die horribly, he managed to cheat the king and his executioner by breaking his bonds and charging the king. He was slain in a moment by the archers that protected the king, but he managed to survive long enough to spill his blood over the royal couple and dying quickly.

So filled with rage, the King called for a council of users of dark arts, quiet men and women with hearts of flint and darker souls. He called for a curse upon the line of Fawkes the likes of which had not been seen since Cain. Fast forward to the day she was born. Her parents, having been plagued by accidents, were slain that very day with the line continuing. The curse was an intelligent evil, who knew it would die if the line were to die out. So it would play with its prey until they reproduced and then slay them so they couldn't warn the next generation.

Alice began her life in a series of unfortunate events. Making her way through 18 years of orphanages and foster homes. She got into a lot of fights, as she had habits of tripping into the sort of people that didn't take oops as an excuse. She was an indifferent student and spent a lot more time doing community service or cooling her heels in a few truly unpleasant places. Around 17, she was thrown out on the streets and spent a better part of the year living rougher than normal.

She was kidnapped by an evil society which was trying to create a superhuman weapon. They reasoned that no one would notice if a number of street people vanished. Typical of her luck, a group of heroes stormed the compound just as their mad scientists were elbow deep in her, adding her adjustments and injecting her with a number of other treatments.

They got her into the back of ambulance, a crooked EMT screws up the dosage of her pain killers and decides to cover the mistake by "reviving her" with about 10.000 volts. In a rare and fortunate moment, it activated her enhancements and restores her back to life. In a sense of almost ironic enchanment, she can absorb energy and kick ass and does both with increasing frequency.

Personality: A backlash against a lifetime of bad, cynical but forceful. Flight has never worked out well for her, so it is pretty much fight. She hates feeling helpless and generally responds with anger.

Heroic Motivation: Fight against the powerful and those who consider people as things. Stomp on those who deserve it for once.
