Jun owns the clothes on his back, and a pair of fighting gauntlets he keeps on his belt for handling dangerous things. Like fights.

Personality[edit]

Jun is impulsive and happy-go-lucky. He prizes style and audacity over simple force. It's not enough to solve a problem. The solution needs to be surprising and bold; it should make people sit up and take notice. Putting a pirate crew out of business by chasing it down with a fleet and attacking it with three marines for every crewman isn't much to brag about. Putting a pirate crew out of business singlehanded with nothing but a pot of ink and a cleverly sabotaged compass is impressive.

History[edit]

Born to a family of dirt-poor serfs on the Blessed Isle, Jun knew he didn't want to spend his life growing grain. He dreamed of the sea. At an young age, he ran off to seek fortune and adventure as a sailor. He managed to sign on to a Guild vessel as a deckhand to learn the trade. That lasted for several months, until the captain's incompetence and bad temper ended in a crew mutiny. The former captain was stranded on a deserted island, and the crew declared themselves pirates. Jun's pirate career lasted several years, until his ship ran afoul of a worse group of pirates: the Lintha. With his ship burning and the crew dead or captured by demon-tainted cannibals, Jun managed to throw himself over the side and into the ocean. The Lintha laughed at this; with no land on the horizon, and blood already in the water, swimming was not escaping, it was just dying a different way. The joke was on them, however. After three days of swimming, parched by the sun and near-delirious from thirst, Jun felt the cool hand of the moon touching his face, and was transformed.

Soon enough, the Silver Pact collected Jun, tattooed him, and sent him into the world. He wanders from port to port, never staying on dry land too long, looking for people who become too proud and think to become masters of the sea, that he may humble them.
