The Final Testament of Kamapatchatakonital, Count Valentin, a.k.a. "La Rubio" [edit]

Be it known to any and all who reading this letter that you read the final testament of Kamapatchatakonital d’ John y Isabella, D.G. Count Valentin, Viscount Lyonesse, Hammer of the Ambrosios, and Loyal Servant of King Ferdinand III of Baetica, known to all as ‘La Rubio’. I have this evening of my own will and volition ridden to the south, to the lands of the foul Ambrosios, to rescue Baron Sancha kidnapped from my presence this very evening using sorcery most foul. The Baron was kidnapped after making revelations that have shocked me to the very core of my being and which inadvertently activated a magical curse. The fault and shame of the situation is mine and its redress falls to me and me alone.

I ride forth knowing that my demise is likely imminent yet that will not stave my action, nor my wrath. Please inform my Sire the Duke that I shall fight bravely to the last and destroy many of my foes before the final trump is sounded. Please let Duchess know that she has always been a paragon of the highest of Motherly virtues. Greatly shall I miss her warm eye, gentle hand and clever tongue in these final days.

To my people I leave my lands and to my lands I leave my people. They are ever intertwined as the body intertwines with the soul. Together they are strong and the finest and all the realms, apart they would wither and yearn after one another.

And how, you may ask did I come to this sorry pass, where revenge and death are my only options?
