This merit allows the charcter to break or cause a failure in any machine in a very short period of time. With this merit, the character may make a Wits + Crafts + equipment roll to cause a device to jam, malfunction, shutdown or otherwise not work anymore. This takes only one round (about 3 seconds) to perform.

If the device is not one the character is familiar with, they must make a Intelligence + Crafts roll to figure out where the important bits are.

If the device is being carried by someone else, the character must first make a Dexterity + Brawl roll (usually at a penalty, see Specific Targets, core book p. 165) to grab the device long enough to break it.
