Last Emperor: Special Directorate

The Imperial Special Police Directorate or ISPD is the special investigation force of the new Emperor. Composed mostly of Drow recruited for their special talents the Special Directorate has become, in the few short years since the Emperor's ascension to the throne, a feared group.

The Emperor has given the ISPD broad powers to investigate and prosecute crimes against the Empire. While their numbers are few, they have the authority to command resources of the Empire, including Naval ships, some army units, and many civil resources.

The ISPD is divided into two groups, the corps, who are the general agents used for investigation work, and the officers who direct the actions of the corps and other resources.

The Corps consists largely of Drow, but many other races are beginning to be recruited for their special talents. The Corps have ranks of Cadet, Agent, Inspector, and Inspector General.

The Officers are entirely Drow. Some of the larger (and more influential) houses send their most promising females to officer training school. After this training they are promoted to officer. Officers have ranks of 3rd Lieutenant, 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander, Commander, and Commander General.

Above the rank of Commander General is the rank of Supreme Commander, held by the Emperor and a few other dragons given supreme oversight of the ISPD.
