Johara[edit]
The child now known as Johara was found by parties unknown somewhere in New Alexandria's Turkish Quarter. She was delivered through a succession of middle men until finally the babe found herself property of Abdul Alfarsi, New Alexandria's premier child broker and ganglord. Abdul kept the child as an investment. Naming her Johara or "Jewel" in Arabic, he trained her as a thief, spy and dancer. The only thing which somewhat shielded the girl from Abdul and his men's twisted appetites was her preternatural grace and enchanting singing voice.
At puberty though Johara's life began to change along with her body. She became fair game to be exploited physically and Abdul's men made short work of her innocence. She became a woman of negotiable affection, along with so many others. A few weeks ago however she discovered a new talent. Put off by a new "client's" insistence she screamed at him, her scream became a physical thing slamming the drunk hard into a wall. Now she stands on the cusp of change, ready to find out what she will become.

Appearance[edit]
Johara is tiny, barely topping five feet. Though she appears fragile, her delicate figure conceals impressive strength and agility. Her colouring is Middle Eastern but lighter than any other Middle Eastern resident of the city as though she were not purely of Middle Eastern descent. She wears her long dark black hair in an intricate series of braids. Her most unusual feature are her grey green eyes with teardrop pattern tattoos, so it appears as though she is constantly weeping.
