Hooks
Loves: His foreign bride, Yakumo, who is currently recovering after having given birth to their son shortly before his departure. While Long is not averse to experiencing other women during his travels, his heart will forever belong to her.
Hates: Dschingiz Ksnis, a barbarian warlord whom he encountered on the Silk Road. Dschingiz attempted to rob the caravan Long was carrying with, but the Mandarin of the Sword beat him off with superior swordplay. Dschingiz's bullying, predatory nature and cowardice are abhorrent to Long, and he has sworn to destroy the barbarian if he encounters him again.
Has: A jade amulet from Yakumo, tied around his neck with a red string. Long holds it and thinks of her on cold and lonely nights.
Wants: Power. Long believes that gaining the favor of the Emperor will enable him to become closer to the royal family, which can only serve to enrich his own household and enshrine the Long family name in the Halls of History.
