Máthair Isolde

She’d always been a part of the covenant, a feature as much as the walls and windows.

Even as a young Woman she had always called herself Mother Isolde. She had been an old soul from the moment she was born, her parents certainly thought so. Along with this unusual quality cam a few more. Those who looked into her eyes always felt a natural discomfort in lying to the girl, even stranger was that she could get them to do something for her, natural charm her parents called it.

Not much is known about how Máthair Isolde came to work for a magus. Certainly her official role was as a servant, a washerwoman, but with her around the places became a bit more... lucky. Rumours would find their way to the magus’ ears about potential vis sources found by townsfolk, people angry at the magus would suddenly be found placated. Most importantly she made everything far less complicated Isolde came to be know for a certain unflappable approach to problems, meeting the complaints and bureaucracy with an ire and gaze that made most back down. Though, not much washing was done, and when it was it wasn’t done particularly well.

Of her personal life Máthair Isolde was married once, during her time at the covenant two children of hers were born, a boy and a girl. While raising her children she spent less time focusing on the covenant, her presence was so vital that the magus offered to send the two to a school so her she could return to her work. She accepted, currently her children are elsewhere, old enough to deal with their own matters, but never too old to ask their other for help. As for the father...

Everyone found him a little bit of a nuisance, he wasn’t a bad person per se, but he wasn’t a good one either. To be perfectly honest when he finally died most were relieved, Isolde herself had made amends with him before his death. Unfortunately it seems he didn’t realise this. He came back from the dead, much to Isolde’s annoyance, and is adamant on being the husband that he wasn’t in life, no matter how much she insists she’s forgiven him... Well, he never really listened when he was alive.
