Melody-Morley

Melody Barlow, Grand-daughter of Prince Gerard of Amber. A noble of Diega and Amber

Also known as Morley Black the Pirate.

As a notorious pirate in the Golden Circle. Morley Black is a pirate of near-mythical reputation, feared for ruthlessness and sword fighting prowess, and well known for taking no prisoners.

What is only known to a few, (among whom will be the PCs in the game) is that she is the 5th Morley Black. The name is a series of individuals who pass the Black name and reputation to a chosen successor once they are wealthy enough to retire. When the time comes, the current "Black" and her chosen successor sail into port and discharge the crew. They then hire a new crew, the ex-Black staying aboard as first mate and referring to her successor as "Captain Black". Once the crew grows accustomed to the new Black the previous captain leaves to enjoy his retirement.

When not pirating, Melody spends her time riding her horse, Shadow, and playing a respectable widow for the local population of Deiga. Was recently captured by Prince Nathan of Deiga and spent a week under house arrest in Amber, before she mysteriously escaped (or was quietly executed, depending which rumor you believe).
