Merbahl Transcender: secret foe description

Kaylob doesn't know the real Merbahl Transcender. Merbahl, like so many others in this time of terror, was molested as a child. He is still shackled by this, and revisits it with most of the children he “mentors.” He manipulates and brainwashes children into thinking that he is like a guru or cult leader. He has a harem of young teenage girls that he tells himself he hasn’t forced or tricked in any way. He is a vile trickster and twister of the truth, very convincing, especially to the naive.

He has a deep prejudice against Dorns, and has no respect for Elves. In his mind, he has also transcended racism and prejudice, but the position of judgment on which he sees himself extends to most everyone else. He can’t stand the idea that others don’t need his wisdom, or that he could be wrong in any way. Simply due to the fact that he’s been mentoring others (who need guidance so badly) for so long makes him think that he’s an expert and that everyone needs what wisdom he has to offer. He even transcends religion, in his mind. He makes up his core beliefs as he goes along, assuming that because he thought of them, and he’s Merbahl Transcender, then these beliefs must be hard and fast Truth.

Merbahl’s wife Similce did kidnap their son, Nostar. She did so because she discovered Merbahl trying to “mentor” Nostar in a most horrible manner, and she took him away to protect him. She fled and used everything she had in her to make sure Merbahl would never find her or Nostar, including changing their names. Merbahl’s former students may be hiding from him, continuing on in his traditions, or recovering until the day they are mentally “well” enough to seek revenge for what he’d done to them.
