Yamada Noriko[edit]

Yamada Noriko.png

A tough girl, a Yankee with a history of violence. Bleached hair, extra-long skirt, attitude-- she's clearly trouble. But pretty. And probably has a heart of gold or something. She's suspected of having a crush on Mayu, but denies it. Violently.

Despite getting nosebleeds when Mayu cuddles up to her.

She's in on the whole Monster thing, too. She took it fairly well after an initial freakout.

Nobody seems to be overly concerned with the fact that she punched out Nagisa. In her gigantic snake form. Which implies an awfully hard punch for a human...

Also, her father is transitioning, which she's trying to adjust to, with a great deal of difficulty.

Ms. Yamada[edit]

Ms Yamada.png

Noriko's mother. Until fairly recently, Noriko's father. She's big and strong, with a deep voice. Noriko finds her incredibly embarrassing, but she's very friendly and hospitable. She has two jobs, singing in Otome bars for extra cash.

Noriko's mother.

Higa Jirou[edit]

Higa Jirou.png Shin Higa Jirou.png

Handsome, stylish, and self-confident. He's a rising star of the kendo club, and while only a freshman, somehow already tall and confident and popular.

He's also a tengu, just incidentally.

He's engaged to Sango.

Tanaka Sadao[edit]

Tanaka Sadao.png

Shockingly handsome, and a world-class flirt. He keeps it all light and friendly, though. He's also a rising star of the archery club.

He's also Jirou's best friend, and seems to have known about monsters waaaaaay before the first day of school.

Suzuki Sayuri[edit]

Suzuki Sayuri.png

Sayuri is shy and withdrawn, spending all her time on her computer and/or cell phone. And that's still the case, despite everybody's efforts to draw her out. She now knows about monsters, and is pretty freaked out about it.

Oh, and she may have some sort of connection to the Yakuza. It's always the quiet ones, isn't it?

As it happens, she's a computer genius, with some very creative ideas on computer security.

Arai Yori[edit]

Arai Yori.png

Yori is a big lug, a little clumsy, but extremely nice and friendly. He's very reliable, and very generous with his time and energy. His family runs a shrine. He has tremendously powerful spiritual abilities and mighty spiritual protections, and could easily be the most powerful exorcist in Japan, except that he doesn't believe in monsters. In addition, he has no ability to detect supernatural presences whatsoever, letting him continue to live in ignorance.

His grandfather is a skilled exorcist, as is his sister Chieko. His little brother Genma, however, is simply a mecha-fascinated 8-year old.

Watanabe Nagisa[edit]

Watanabe Nagisa.png Shin Wantanabe Nagisa.png

Nagisa is very beautiful, and from a very wealthy, influential family. The boys flock around her with little effort on her part.

She's also actually from India. Because she's a naga, and quite strong.

Hara Yoshinori[edit]

Hara Yoshinori.png Umbrella.png

Yoshinori is awkward and clueless, and deeply involved in manga, anime, and computer games. He's also a perv-- he lives for unearned panty shots, and you don't want to know how good he is at concealing cameras. The nosebleed is probably from lust, but it could be from somebody's right cross.

Oh, and he's an umbrella monster, and recovers from maiming ridiculously quickly.

And he's pervier than you think. What, you thought Silent Wayfarer was pervier? No, Hara's probably more pervy still.

Yasmin al-Jameel[edit]

Yasmin al-Jameel.pngShin Yasmin al-Jameel.png

Yasmin is cheerful, friendly, outgoing, and cute. She's also a Ghul, and somewhat unhealthy due to difficulties in finding corpses to eat in Japan.

Her full name is Yasmin al-Jameel bint-Habibazrad bint-Afra' bint-Jumanah bint-Lubabah bint-Khulud al-Parsi al-Ghul. She has enormous claws that can burrow through stone and earth, and you don't want to know what they could do to a human. But she's far too nice to do that, right?

She is currently engaged to Akira, due to a misunderstanding. She seems pretty set on the idea, though, and gets pretty determined when it comes to defending her claim on him.

Yasmin's Family[edit]

A family of six hungry ghuls, counting her-- Yasmin's parents, her big sister Faizah, her little sister Huma, and her older brother Ragheb. Ragheb has a job that lets him bring home meat now and then.

Faizah isn't all that scrupulous about potential sources of food, and seems to regard Yasmin as a rival. Also, she's trying to help out her family's meat crisis by killing Urameshi Rei as often as possible, while making it look like various accidents.

Huma is a cute little girl who loves kitties and has terrifyingly huge claws.

Mr. al-Jameel and Ragheb are basically meek sararimen, except when Mrs. al-Jameel calls them to action.

Mrs. al-Jameel is a delightful hostess and a devoted housewife, sweet, kind, and hospitable. Until something crosses her sense of honor or duty, in which case one is abruptly reminded that she is, in fact, the demon queen of the ghuls, and in command of a matriarchal society in which position is based upon strength and will.

Miss Jeong[edit]

Ms Jeong.png

Homeroom and Japanese teacher with a will of iron. She will not put up with your nonsense. Is she human? On the one hand, she isn't one of the teachers Mr. Della Notte indicated was a monster.

But then, there's her voice...

It has recently come out that Miss Jeong may have had some sort of sorted past. She apparently lived in England, hung around with gangs, and was questioned by the police for mysterious activities that caused a lot of destruction.

She also went from hanging out with gangs to hanging out with four other girls (Two dizzy blondes, a brain, and a preacher's kid), who then all went to Russia. And the girl who was the center of it all never came back, and the group of friends all went their separate ways.

What's going on here? And does Halia's forbidden crush on her have a chance...?

Now, at last, Miss Jeong is talking about her past. Once known as Magical Princess Violence, she associated with Magical Princess Love/Lleuadelon, MPC, MPF, and MPR, who were Carol, Bridget, and Marina respectively, as well as two foxes and Artie, who may have been MPL's love interest.

For fan created theories about Miss Jeong, refers to Theory: Miss Jeong.

Mr Della Notte[edit]

Mr Della Notte.png

English teacher. Also a monster teacher, but so far, nobody's quite clear on what he actually is. He casually decapitated Rei to make a point, though, and that's kind of scary. He doesn't seem to be that interested in actually teaching anything.

Incidentally, he appears to be a werewolf.

It is later revealed that Della Notte was fomerly Jack of the Night, servant of the heartless sorcerers. Which means instead of just scary, he might be actually murderous.

Mr Otoro[edit]

Mr Otoro.png

Gym teacher. Also a fishman. He never talks. Did you notice that?

Miss Yamamoto[edit]

Home Ec teacher

Mr Taikutsu[edit]

Math teacher and master of mass hypnosis.

Sakebimasu Hoshi[edit]

    • image deleted for copyright infringement**

The mysterious enemy of Katsuo. Well, less mysterious now. He's a plane spirit, he's taking advantage of his faction leader's illness to declare war on Katsuo, and he's not actually as effective as the leader of a bunch of military plane spirits really ought to be.

Auro, Dassault, and Sukhoi[edit]

Mecha-Musume-1.jpg

Three of the hoard of Plane-tans that serve Hoshi. Also junior-high girls. Their preferred diet is very, very high octane.

Hellcat-tan[edit]

Hellcat-tan.png

Another Plane-tan, this one's been largely seduced away by the prospect of parfaits and Alice's raw appeal.

Miyako[edit]

A strange girl, generally of the pop-star high school princess type. She's surrounded by a legion of fanatically loyal thuggish boys, and very possessive of her territory. She claims to have no heart, or that her heart is hidden away, and she has claimed that no one she kisses will ever settle for any other kisses-- an ominous promise, really.

Koschei the Deathless[edit]

A legendary figure from Russian folklore. Except that he was apparently active as recently as 1999.

HueXin[edit]

A heartless sorceress. Literally-- it was removed, much like Koscheii the Deathless. She was bound in Mici-nitay-kamuy's shrine, until released by Miyako. Like Miyako, she could steal souls and enslave hearts with a kiss. She was defeated by Miss Jeong and the other Magical Princesses.

Cichol of the Evil Eye[edit]

A giant who claims to be Alice's fiance. Then again, he also claims to be disguised as a schoolboy, and he's clearly mistaken.

Arai Chieko[edit]

Chieko.png

In the Monster Hunting Club. Wait, what was her name, again?

She showed temptation at Necronomicon and claimed to have ambitions, possibily the next heartless sorcerer. And she is an exorcist. Did anyone mention she have an elderitch horror as familiar?

Mici-nitay-kamuy[edit]

The Arai Shrine God. A boar god, that speaks in huge Garamond, and manifests as a rather small pig.

The Circus of Lost Children[edit]

The manifestation of a child's desire to run away and join the circus, it takes in children who don't want to go home, and gives them a life as circus performers. Children don't age when they're in the Circus, and it has several physical manifestations, including ghostly animals and the Ringmaster, who speaks in 4-point Century Gothic.

Binh[edit]

A young girl of about 11 from Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. Her mother runs an open-air cafe, but her mother's boyfriend, Xia, was in some way abusive to Binh. She ran away from home and joined the Circus, but wants to go back home, if only Xia isn't there.

Kishimoto Mushiko[edit]

A young girl of about 8, her family accidentally invoked the curse of some kind of spider being which transformed Mushiko into a half-spider creature, and caused her to seriously injure her father. Her mother responded by trying to kill her, and now insists that she is dead. She joined the Circus, but would like to leave it. Uncomfortable around humans.

Bankimchandra[edit]

An Indian boy of about 13, he ran away from home to go to England to study, but hardships that he hasn't spoken of drove him into the Circus.

Sango[edit]

A Harionago, and Jirou's fiancee. She has little use for humans or for modern society.

Mr. Kuroinu[edit]

Head of the Monster Council. A Black Dog spirit who is clearly up to something.

Bachiko[edit]

A cute little wasp-girl who imprinted on Aoi. Another one imprinted on Alice.
