Venture & Headquarters[edit]

The Aboveboard HQ is in the caldera of a volcano that went dormant long ago. The vast bulk of the volcano is below the waterline, and the chambers where magma once roiled now house the full might of Aboveboard's manufacturing processes (along with housing for the many employees who work there). The volcano's cliffs rise from the water and its surface is sheer and unclimbable. Inside the crater, there are manicured lawns, stately groves, and of course the miles-tall Aboveboard HQ building. Access to the caldera is possible only by air, or else by means of a single, carefully guarded underwater tunnel. There may be more tunnels, but if there are they are Top Secret.

The Aboveboard fleet of battleships, cruisers, submarines, and other such vessels are generally deployed across the waves, guarding the Venture's offshore platforms, but there is a small naval base on the outside of the volcanic cliffs for whatever ships happen to be at the HQ for restocking or retrofitting, as well as for the massive cargo ships that transport the manufactured goods and machinery that drive the company's primary operations.
