- The BaM-2L looks like most Krieger mechs, though the back is more solid and infrastructure has been reorganized for dynamic equilibrium. Commissioned by Matochek, the Lovec is based on a powerful gyroscope that allows for heightened movement and stability. Unfortunately, the drawback of the design is that the pilot is busy maintaining the gyroscope, leaving him/her slower to react to the enemy. Successful piloting of a BaM-2L requires a general awareness of what positions tend to be advantageous.

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Poruchik Nestor Bogdan Kirilovich za Matochekland, Rytir in the service of House Matochek.
I should explain my reputation before you hear of it. When I was still a boy, I discovered my uncle, Margraf Otto Kiril Matochek, was a heretic who promoted Darkness with full knowledge of his actions. He had all the appearances of being a good man with a pious soul, but this was an illusion. He assumed I was too young and too naïve to realize what he was. He also assumed familial loyalty would keep me silent. He was wrong on all counts, and now he is dead. Some believe I tarnished the family line in bringing this into the open, that I care nothing for my house, and that I am a gloryhound. This is untrue. As a boy, I was given a choice between comfort in the Dark or suspicion in the light. I chose the latter, and my course has been set since then.
My callsign is Volos. Volos was the patron of merchants and shepherds. He became a god of death, and was locked in an eternal struggle against a being who brought destruction to the earth from beyond the sky. He appeals to me as we go through this long night.

Commentary from Ministry of Fear File[edit]
- Sir Nestor's uncle Margraf Otto was a member of a secret society. When the Margraf discovered the order was allied with Darkness, he aimed its unholy fury at his enemies, particularly the Imperials who held land he believed belong to his family.
- It is unclear how much was known by other family members. Many plead for mercy, claiming Margraf Otto displayed little interest in betraying Bauhas. Such claims, aired in open court, fell on deaf ears and ruined the reputations of at least two of the people making the claim.
- In the wake of the scandal, House Matochek rewarded and protected Sir Nestor on the one hand, and reestablish order as quickly as possible.
- Sir Nestor was sent on a pilgrimage. Whatever benefits this had for Sir Nestor, removing him from Matochekland for two years facilitated the re-establishment of stability.
- He was encouraged to become career military, in the Mecha Korps. This ensured his continued absence from Matochekland in a form that could be seen as prestigious.
- Sir Nestor's induction to various orders were, highly encouraged.
- For putting Bauhaus above family loyalty (admittedly a strange phrase), he was granted membership in the Order of the Pauldron.
- Upon joining the MechaKorp, Sir Nestor entered the Order of the Fiery Sword.
- After he began active service, Sir Nestor was recruited by the Order of Oxia Palus, as the Ministers of Fear thought he would be a useful asset.
- The Order of the Bison was ordered to block Nestor's application.
- Sir Nestor’s relationship with authority is grounded in a cycle of blind faith and indignant disappointment. He is defined by a constant search for a pure cause or leader to support, and a constant suspicion he has only found an imposter.
- While not completely without guile, Sir Nestor excels at embracing inevitability. His plans will be successful, his enemies will be crushed, and to deny otherwise is to deny the sun rises and falls.
- Volos is an ancient Slavic God of the wilderness, herding, oaths, and opposing the sky god Perun. One Minister of Fear was concerned that Sir Nestor's interest in Pre-Brotherhood polytheism bordered on a heretical fascination, but this conclusion has less to do with factual evidence than with the Minister in question being from House Luther.
